Ths s the fourth lesson n the course "MYSTERIES OF THE FOUR GOSPELSH. Our subject today s WATCH for Development from the Natural to the Sprtual Plane of Conscousness. Our lesson s based on the 24th chapter of Matthew from the 32nd verse to the Ind of the chapter. Hor n the Bble ve road: 32. Nov from the fg tree learn a parable. When her bran ch 8 young and tender and putteth forth ts leaves, ye knov th» summer s nght 33 Even so also when ye 900 all thes thngs, know y that he s ngh44'ovn at th door. 34.Verly, I say unto you, Ths generaton shall not paas away untl -all these thngs be ancomplshed. 35 Haven and earth shall pass avar. but my words shall not pass away. 36.But of that day and hour knoveth no ana, no, not even the angels of heaven, nor the son, but the Father only.37 And as vere the days of Noe, so shall be the comng of tho Son of man. 38 Because n those days whch vre before the flood, they were eatng and drnkng, marryng and gvng n marrage, untl th day that Noe entered nto the ark, 39. And they knv not untl the flood cam8 and took thorn all away; so shall also be the comng of the Son of man.40.then shall two men be n the feld; the one s taken; one s left. 4.Two women shall be grndng at the mll; the one shall be taken, and the other left.42. Watoh thereforl:for ye know not vhat day your Lord oometh.43 But kno ths, thalf the master of the house had known whah watch the thef was comng, he had vatohod and would not have sufferd hs house to be broken through. 44. Therefore be yo also ready: for n an hour that 40 thnk not the Son of man cometh.45.who then s a fathful gervantt whom hs lord hath made rultr.ever hs housholdto gve them th r food n due season:46. Blessed s that servant, wh847hs lord c ometh shall fnd so dong. 47.Verly I say unto you, he wll Bet hm over all that he hath. 48. But f that evl servant shall say n hs heart, My lord tarryeth; 49. And shall begn to beat hs fellowservants, and to eat and drnk wth the drunken; 50. The lord of that servant shall come n a day when he expecteth not and n m hour when he knovth not, 5. And shall cut hm asunder, and appont hs porton wth the hypocrts: there shall be weepng and gnashng of teeth. Come, let us consder just a moment, let us consder ths part of the Sorpture, "Verly I say unto you, ths generaton shall not pass away untl all these thngs be ao. complshed." Nearly two thousand years have Dassed avay snce Jous uttered nsprd words... Nearly two thousand years, vhch are many many generatons as man coun#s tme, and ther* has not been so much change n conscousness. But you know n Sprt there 8 no such thng as tmo, s therel In Sprt there s no such thng as tme. In Sprt, a gneraton s measured by the unfoldment of the soul of the race; you mght say, n your soul, n my Boul. A generaton 0 a dspnsaton of sprtual power. Surely today however, we are approachng the end of a gonoraton, or a sprtual generaton, vh c the wry man counte tmo, s nearly two thousand years. Of oouree, now, the ac cordng to next sprtual generaton may be a much shorter tll, as man thnks of t. It s what you unfold-- unfoldment wthn you and wthn m.

' -2- Nov vhat has takon place n th conscousness of the race, durng the last tvo thousand yearst We beleve that ve know much more n regard to the power of prayer. Surely the power of prayer the strongst power n all the unverse today. We beleva that, do ve not Power s generated through prayer. But at ths partcular tme, we do all feel, I beleve we do all know that t behooves u to be prepared Bor a great change, sprtual change, that s to take place not only wthn you and wthn Ths mghty change doubt s a decsve stptfrom the natural to beng brought about through me, but also wthn the whole race. Jesus spoke of such a tm/, dd he notl HI made t very plan n ths Scrptur ve have Just read, and we feel that ths change s rght upon us nov. Now when ve are lookng for the great changes. In the Bble ve just read ths: "Now from the fg tro learn hero a parablel when her branch s now become tender and putteth forth ts leaves, we know that the summer s ngh; even o y also, when ye ee all these thngs, know ye that he s ngh, even at the door.. (all these thngs, all these sgns n the outer Or wthn) ye know that hl s ngh even at the doors." no s the the we are takng that stop as a race, gong from the natural to the sprtual plane of c onscousness. Ths mghty change wll cause many changes. We know there power of prayer, and sprtual plane of conscousness. Rght now are darkness are tryng to take over the world by force. These souls do not know that the earth s th Lord' s and the fulness thereof, and that eventually the Lord governs. But som souls among ul have attaned a greater sprtual unfoldment than others, therefore ' we know the Lord, through man, s contnually chftng throughout all the natons of tho arth, w mght say, selectng chooe seed for hs plantng, s selectng Bouls really who are able to carry forth Hs work and do t under law. "Two men are workng n the feld. One s taken. One s left. Two women ar grndng at the mll. One s taken, the one s left." The Lord s o arryng forth Hs' mghty power and he dosres the perfect nstrument through whch to operate. Those who pray most, those who are establshed n the Sprtual conscousness, thos who work from prncple, those who can demonstrate the power of the word, ara those who ate gong to be n great demand. "WATCH, therefore, for ye know not the hour when the Lord cometh." Agan Jesd sad, "Haven and earth shall pass away, b,t my word shall not pass away." Olter actvtes that man accounted Bo great, are fallng away. We come to know rght nov that the graat change ahoad of us s enterng a new lfe conscousness and ths s those today who ara workng wth Santanc power; the powers of symbolzed by the 'tender leaves on the fg tree'. We mght say a correspondng example s when we FEEL that NE LIFE WITHIN us--feel that ve are enterng a new lfe n Chrst. THrough scentfc prayer, through realzaton, we come to know that whatever we have unfolded under the lav, 8$rtual law, s our, etarnally. If we have unfolded sprtual facultes, they er wth us always to bear us up and onward no matter what the demonstraton s. Those sprtual facultes are ours to use. Ars we ready to let to -af the old and lay hold of the nwl Ar ve really gettng stronger sprtuallyl Ar we wllng to let go of false values and lay hold of real sprtual qualtes. These are the ponts ve are consderng today. Scentfo prayer, sprtual realzaton, s the path of unfold. ment. Let us enter nto the stllness. Now medtate upon the new'lfe n Chrst, and n the stllness WATCH...WATCH. Tle true law of the slence s SOUL EVOLUTION. Let us t/ead the onward strd n,consoousnes. Let us contnue to pull upstream r gardless of all else. Nov we c enter our mnds on God, the one and only power, We take the thought: THE MIND OF SPIRIT IS ALERT IN ME -AND AM READY FOR THE MANIFESTATION OF THE CHRIST. N Thl Mnd of Sprt s alert n m and I am ready for the manfestaton of the Chrst. Realze t. In Hs Name, Amon. LESSON CHARLES FILLUORE: The lesson today s basod on the 24th ohapter of Matth//, whch s a very mysterous chapter. There Jesus Chrst gves a lot of'ponts pertanng to the sprtual lf and preparaton for t. We wll soo a fow of the tems he has gven us and as we have already heard, t s good to have them ropeatd. As I sad, the dscples sald, "Tell us when thess thngs b, and vhat shall be the sgn of thy comng and of the en d of the --7 ' world..(or by the end of the age)" and he repled, "Thnk yl that no man lead you astray for many shall come n my name sayng, I am the Chrst, and shall lead many astray; and many false prophts shall arse and shall lead many astray." And "Ths generaton shall

: : of t wth ' : tarffs; ' I read to you, "For as lghtnng cometh forth from the east and s seen even unto the vest, so shall be the comng of the Son of man." Does that teaoh ha s comng n the clouds as a great personaltyl In great glory, and gong to catch us all up to be hm n a heaven somevher T Not at all. It teaches he s gong to come lk elec -3- - -.shall not pass away untl all thes, thngs be accomplshed, but of the day and the hour knoweth no man, not evn th angls n heaven, not even the Son, but the Father only. WATCH therefore, for ye know not»tat day your Lord cometh.... For as the lghtnng oometh forth from the east and s seon unto the west, so shall be the comng of thl Son of man." Now he also sad, "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my vords shall not pass away." And he keeps repeatng ths dea of WATCH... "WATCH therefore, for yo know not what day..your lord cometh, therefore bo ye also ready. For n an hour that ye thnk not, the Son of man cometh." Now ths Scrptur has ban studed and read for two thousand years and as you all know, usually nterpreted as a prophecy of the comng, or the second comng of the Lord Jesus Chrst. Wll,, don't oppose that thought, but our Bble nterpretaton s that t applos especally to the ndvdual. Ths applcaton has been neglected untl nov wa sea that ve must ndvdually be prepard for the comng of ths hgher sprtual c onscousness n ourselves before v would be ready for the meetng or the greetng of the Lord n the ar. As Paul says, that the Lord s comng n the ar, wth a great shout, evn vth trumpets of god, oven wth archangels, and we are all gong up nto the clouds to meat hm. That s, because,/ ar/ pr/paved. And he says, "Yet he comth as a thef n the nght." So nobody oan put ther fngers on a dato, though many have tred t, on whch the Lord s to take up hs place on the earth. Now ve all know that there must eventually be a ovlsaton on ths earth n whch the prncples lad don by Jesus Chrat wll be followed. They vll become the gudng lght of the human famly, not because Josus Chrst announced thn, as a personalty, but because they are an ntegral part of the great human thought. We have got to have love. Te must have justce. We must have rghteousness. We must have a recognton of man n hs entroty before we c an have a real cvlzaton. That' s opqtly vhat Jesus Chrst taught and ve know that those prncpls must be establehed on7the earth round, befor ve oan hav the advent of Josus Chrst. le snt comng nto the world agan and be crucfed, as he came as a personalty. So ve know t must bo that he s comng ae a Prncpll. He would come nto the vorld agan and be crucfed f he cam, as a peron, so ve knov t must be that he s comng a a prncple. In other words, he s comng nto the mnds and hearts of hs people, those who ro ognze those prncples and ncorporate them nto ther eonsclousness. Now ths s really the preparaton, and as I say, ths chapter refers Ispecally to our personal prparaton. Are You preparngl Are you preparng yourself to beoom one of ths great host of Chrstans, the followerltha real followers of Jesus Chrstr WI, of course, keep callng your attenton to the fact that tla snt a preparaton.to. meet God after ve are dead, but t s preparaton to meet ths dvne dsal man hero and now and ospecally n ourselves. Hov could we possbly apprecate Jesus Ohrst f ve hadn't the mea ure, measured up to hs standard of thought. Today he would be a forgner just as he had been a foregner to those Jows a thousand years ago. He opposed nearly all of ther standards of thnkng and relgs*, and f he came today n the same form wth the same messago as he came two thousand years ago, the world at larg vould repudlt hm. They would say: By what authorty does ths man speak Where dd you go to schooll He he.an A.B. degreel What college dd you take your dgres atl If not, we won't lsten to you. Your teachng s communstc. You teach that we should all dvde up our money and there wll be no more rch people n the world, and we can't hav any barrers or there has to ba unvorsalty of trade. We can't lsten to that for a moment. And thousands of other thngs, on whch all these personal materal appearances would be broken dorn. I tll you, he vouldn't be receved. And t' s a pretty dffcult matter for us ndvdually, for us to receva and apply n our everyday lf vhat he taught us. But we wll never enter nto the kngdom of the heavens whch he tells us about, vhch exsts here n the earth, 'ngh unto us, even n ust, untl we break down old standards thought. When we do that, then we vll come nto the conscousness that ths Chrst of God s already hor. trcty, lke a great dsplay of nov deas n mnd, from the east (wthn) to tha west (wthout). He s comng to us to gve us tle deas of absolute truth that God vants us to have; the good,ve are all part of the good; we have that good n us; that means to recognze everybody as good, everybody as essentally n the Chrst, and so we have been

' -4- - -. ovr n our work over ths fundamental, over and over agan. But, ARE WE APPLYING ITT That's the grent thng to know, vo must apply t every day. We mustn't put off th oomng of the Chrst. We mustn' t get.-vell--dscourgd and thnk, m#0, I don't know. le 4 have been talkng about ths comng df the Chrst for a long tme, and ke hasn't come. 4 And I have been watng. I have. ben applyng these prncples, and I can't see I am mulh L- - fmther along than I was." So you just don't want to get dscouraged and begn to take on human ways, keep on eatng and drnkng and sayng 'we just lfe for a short tme.* Now I read that the Devl onco has a sale of all the tools of hs trade. Everythg was on dsplay. There was a keen-edged dagger of jealousy, and a sledge hammer of vongeance (T) and a bow of gred and arrows of lust and a broad sorbwdrver of eov*ousness and veapons of fear, envy and prde. And under each of them the prce. And n the plao e of honor vas--well--a lttle nstrument set apart from all the otherll, a lttle wedge. Ah& t was worn and t had been used a great deal. And t was marked "dno ouragement".and the prce was hgher than all the other nstruments of the devl, and th Devl vas askd the reason for ths amazng dfference, and he explaned, 't s because ths s the one tool I can use when all others fal. Let me get that lttle vedge nto a mane oonscousness and t paves th vay for 4 falures. That wedge has helped me more than any other, and of course I have put a hgher prce on t." Dsoouragement. Now rememb/rl that vhen you got dscouraged wth ygur sprtual lf, dscouraged wth the progress 'you are makng, dscouraged -well- wth other people, people you assocate wth. We thnk, 978, I don't see but what the world s gong on about as t has. I don't know but that the young people are worso n ths age than they were when I was a young person." Well, that may seem 80, but don't just agree wth the appearance, just agree wth the Sprt. I 6 you there s mon sprtual understandng n the world today and more sprtual advancement, and our young people are gettng fr er, that s they are wantng to exercsl ther nnate sprtual abltes. One of those abltes s sprtual fredom. Hold to ths standard that we are guded by ths unversal Chrst--not only the Chrlt n me, but the unversal Chrst n Sprt--but t s, At. Belove n t. Have fath n t, and t vll work. Now ths Chrst' Sprt has oonnto the vorld as 'lghtnng cometh from the eat (of power) nto the west"...so ths Sprtual lght s floodng the vorldtodaysand'there s gong to be a great transformaton. The world we have been abroad n s just dsappearng, just dseolvng. I am not just tellng you that. You fnd ths n magasns. If the old world s passng away and all s gong to change what' 8 comngl We know That'I comng. Yes, keep that deal I am not afrad of what a comng. am not afrad of fnancal dsaster. God takes care of me, of my fnance 0, of my sprt; God takes care of the world. We wll have better frut when the fg tree s n bloom. Isn't that better than when brngng forth lttle green leavest So let us look for a better world, a happer world, a healther world n whch our deas whch we are n a measure suppressng nov, vll express--n a word, broadcast, because, as I say, tho world cant t exst vthout thho fundamental prncpls. We are not teachng theology, we are tlachng prncple, fundamental to man, to our vell-beng, and must ba brought forth. Don't let the Devl get n that lttle vedge of dscouragement and say these thngs won't work. It wll work for you and me and everybody who tred. Let's take up ths lot of the Chrst. Get rd of the old, take on the now fre comng nto the world today n our hearts and mnds. 90 rojooo n the truth and go rght fortrard wth all snoorty, wth all confdence. We know ths sncerty oomls from vthn. Perhaps you con fnd out whether you are really n earnest or not by the truth wthn you. It gn't always by the outer words, but there s somethgs back of the words. What s thatl IT IS THAT SPIRIT IN YOU. It s sad that the reason Theodore Roosevelt haa such an nfluence upon hs audence was because of hs sncerty. H ddn't have a great vocabulary. He nen't eloquent. When h talkd to peopll they followed and belevod. He sad, "I *ll toll you the socret of t. I am sncere. When say a thng I mean t." That's the sprt of the man. We can all oultvate that sprt even n ourselves. It s the truth and t must preval not only n ourselves but n the world about us. CORA Fll,WOREL OFFERING: Nov ve gvl our love offerng. We receve, and gv forth our offerng. We take our offerng n our hands and blees t. Together: DIVINE LOVE T'IROUGH ME BLESSES AND MUL- TlPLIES TtIS OFFERING. (Agan-three tmes).
