Intrductin King David didn t have a Bible and he never sat n a hillside reading a devtinal bk. He prbably culdn t even read and yet he knew Gd as well as anyne wh ever walked the face f planet earth. In fact mst peple yu read abut in the Bible were illiterate s they memrized large prtins f the Bible as they listened t it being recited by their parents and read by the priests and scribes in the lcal synaggues and the Sanctuary. When David and his men fund ut that Saul and Jnathan had lst their lives due t ne f these epic battles they tre their clthes and put dirt n their heads and wailed and cried fr hurs even days.
