Welcome to the worship of the living and Triune God here at the Peace CRC! We re glad you re here with us on this Labor Day weekend. The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it (Genesis 2:15). On this Labor Day weekend, it is good to be reminded that God made us to work. Our work is good and it brings glory to God when we do it well. So, whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men...it is the Lord Christ you are serving. Colossians 3:23-24 This morning Pastor Michael will be walking us through one of the most difficult parables to understand the Parable of the Unjust Steward as found in Luke 16. Next week, we will begin our series on the 5 Solas beginning with Sola Scriptura looking together at Romans 1:1-17 and Article #7 from the Belgic Confession. Nominations for new office-bearers are due today. Thank you for your submissions and please continue to keep that process in your prayers. Pastor Michael will be offering a Profession of Faith/New Members class on Sunday afternoons. We will meet for four weeks beginning September 17 th from 2:00-3:15 p.m. in the Fireside Room. If you are considering profession of faith and/or membership and would like to join the group, we would love to have you. Please contact Pastor Michael or Anita to register so that we have enough materials ready. Total budget receipts for last Sunday, August 27, were $6,377.
