Build Yourself an Ark Part 1 I. Prophecy released by Brother Copeland at the January 2009 Minister s Conference: Don t pay attention or make any plans based on what the media says or what the politicians say. Stand on My Word in John 16. Pay attention to Me. I, the Holy Spirit, will obey Verses 13-15. I will show you things to come. I will lead you through the troubled times. I already have THE plan for you and it is very good. Follow it. It will not only get you through, it will place you in a very high place a rich place a strong place of victory. You will have to discipline yourself and be diligent to listen to Me. All the other voices have a plan a word an idea for your future and your security. Don t listen to the Babylonian system. It has fallen apart. My system is stronger than ever. My kingdom is flourishing and the blessing is the place to be. Keep your eyes on My Word. Listen to it. It will guide you and I will perform it. Love Me, love My people as I have loved you. Walk in it. Love never fails and neither does My plan. Be very cautious to stay completely clean from covetousness. 1 Timothy 6:10 must live in the forefront of your thinking. If you will do these things and continue therein, you will come into your wealthy place a place lifted up a place in me already planned and prepared for you right now, here, not in heaven. Not yet, but it will seem like heaven right in the midst of all the trouble and you will be able to reach out to untold numbers of suffering people with the good news of the gospel. I am coming very soon sooner than you think. Keep your eyes on Me and you will get the job done. II. We re going to study why many people s prayers are not working. A. God said His people are praying amiss. B. The media is emphasizing the recession (a famine). 1. We re going to study what happens to God s people during troubled times. 2. A failing economy could never affect those who were led by the Spirit. 3. This is the time for the church to prosper it draws the world s attention. 4. In order to escape the famine, we must build ourselves an ark. C. Genesis 6:13 God said to Noah, I intend to make an end of all flesh, for through men the land is filled with violence; and behold, I will destroy them and the land. 14 Make yourself an ark of gopher or cypress wood; make in it rooms (stalls, pens, coops, nests, cages, and compartments) and cover it inside and out with pitch. 1. God is not going to build the ark for you it s your job. 2. Everything that was needed to build the ark was already here. 2
III. IV. 3. Prayer will not build your ark; faith through obedience builds it! 4. You cannot survive in the dark out of the ark. 5. When there was darkness in Egypt, there was light in Goshen. 6. The plagues of Egypt could not come near Goshen. 7. You cannot remain in Egypt and expect the blessings of Goshen. 90-95% of all prayers are for the following things: A. Healing B. The Blessing C. Needs D. The Glory E. Favor F. The Anointing G. Wisdom H. Salvation for loved ones I. Deliverance from recession J. Protection Of the nine types of New Testament prayers, the most common is the prayer of faith. A. Once we understand the prayer of faith, we will stop asking God for these things. B. Let s set the platform for the prayer of faith by turning to the book of beginnings. V. Genesis 1:26 God said, Let Us [Father, Son, and Holy Spirit] make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness, and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the [tame] beasts, and over all of the earth, and over everything that creeps upon the earth. Vs 28 And God blessed them and said to them, Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it [using all its vast resources in the service of God and man]; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and over every living creature that moves upon the earth. A. The Glass of Water Demonstration God s transfer of authority to man. B. When God gave man complete authority over the earth, He no longer had it! C. Adam fell, but Jesus went to the cross to reinstate man s full authority on earth. D. Jesus is now sitting down because He is finished! 3
E. In this recession, many Christians will move into millionaire status. 1. God has already provided all things on the earth for our benefit. 2. Our job is to use our authority to appropriate these things. 3. The sooner we stop asking God to provide for our needs, the better. 4. The Holy Ghost guides us into fruitfulness, multiplication, and subduing. 5. The Word produces faith (faith comes by hearing the Word). 6. Faith is the substance of things hoped for; the evidence of things not seen. a. Faith is the evidence, not prayer! b. No evidence? No manifestation. VI. VII. VIII. Genesis 1:29 And God said, See, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the land and every tree with seed in its fruit; you shall have them for food. A. God created the Garden of Eden with heavenly seed. B. God rested on the seventh day after He handed over the creation process to man. There are two criteria you must meet prior to entering the ark during this recession: A. You have to walk in love no unforgiveness allowed in the kingdom of God. B. You must remove sin from your life; live in holiness. HEALING You must execute the prayer of faith. A. Matthew 16:19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind (declare to be improper and unlawful) on earth must be what is already bound in heaven; and whatever you loose (declare lawful) on earth must be what is already loosed in heaven. 1. God is not in the binding business that is our responsibility. 2. Use your authority to command sickness to go. 3. On embassy grounds, all the resources of the home kingdom back you up. 4. If it s not allowed in heaven, don t allow it in your house. 5. When a thief attempts to steal a car, are you a bystander or the policeman? 6. You better speak as one who possesses authority. You have the badge! 7. Man s authority releases God s ability. 8. Kings reign by words, fully expecting what they ve decreed to manifest. 4
9. Job 22:28 You shall also decide and decree a thing, and it shall be established for you; and the light [of God s favor] shall shine upon your ways. B. Reading of a portion of an article from Brother Copeland s magazine: We arrange things when we speak. We arrange our lives when we speak. We arrange the atmosphere around us when we speak. We arrange our home when we speak. We arrange our place of work and everywhere we go by what we say. Neurologists have proven that the speech center in the brain drives and controls all the other systems in the body. 1. Your body systems respond to what you say. 2. What you ve been saying has affected your current physical condition. 3. When you call things in faith, they manifest. C. Matthew 21:22 And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive. 1. You don t try the Word; it tries you! 2. Hang on to the Word until it manifests. 3. We are to enforce what Christ did on the Christ. a. Knowing and believing are not enough. b. Judges make laws, but police enforce them. 4. DON T PRAY IT SAY IT! 5. This is not a trial offer it is a lifestyle! 6. Think first and then speak. a. WWJS? (What would Jesus say?) b. Speak the Word only! c. This is time for immersion into the Word of God. 7. Psalms 91:1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand]. 2 I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I [confidently] trust! a. Weapons can be formed, but they cannot prosper. b. The lion is in a cage! He s all roar and no bite. 5
c. Don t let fear determine your life decisions; say what God says. d. The Shepherd said His sheep know His voice. e. He will lead and guide us. D. 1 Peter 2:24 He personally bore our sins in His [own] body on the tree [as on an altar and offered Himself on it], that we might die (cease to exist) to sin and live to righteousness. By His wounds you have been healed. 1. When you speak in line with God s Word, you will get what He said. 2. The sick need to say, I am healed. 3. This verse declares that you are already healed (past tense). E. Matthew 8:13 Then to the centurion Jesus said, Go; it shall be done for you as you have believed. And the servant boy was restored to health at that very moment. IX. 14 And when Jesus went into Peter s house, He saw his mother-in-law lying ill with a fever. 15 He touched her hand and the fever left her; and she got up and began waiting on Him. 16 When evening came, they brought to Him many who were under the power of demons, and He drove out the spirits with a word and restored to health all who were sick. 17 And thus He fulfilled what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah, He Himself took [in order to carry away] our weaknesses and infirmities and bore away our diseases. 1. If sickness came from the devil, why would you ask Jesus to take it? 2. Demonic oppression is not permitted in heaven, so God can t take it. 3. Not once in Jesus ministry did He ask His Father to heal somebody. 4. Jesus cast out the spirits with a word! (He spoke.) 5. Jesus told the disciples that they would do the same things as He did. 6. Nasir s sister survived a deadly infection when Nasir commanded it to go. 7. If Jesus already carried our sickness, why are we carrying it now? 8. Children under the age of accountability ride on their parents faith. PROVISION Your needs will be met when you do what the Philippians did. A. Philippians 4:19 And my God will liberally supply (fill to the full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. 6
1. This letter was written exclusively to the Philippian church in response to their generous giving. 2. The Word is more valuable than food, but where do we put our money? 3. Jesus said, Man cannot live by bread alone. 4. Whenever the Philippians were fed the Word, they sowed. B. Back up to Vs 14 But it was right and commendable and noble of you to contribute for my needs and to share my difficulties with me. 15 And you Philippians yourselves well know that in the early days of the Gospel ministry, when I left Macedonia, no church (assembly) entered into partnership with me and opened up [a debit and credit] account in giving and receiving except you only. 16 For even in Thessalonica you sent [me contributions] for my needs, not only once but a second time. 17 Not that I seek or am eager for [your] gift, but I do seek and am eager for the fruit which increases to your credit [the harvest of blessing that is accumulating to your account]. 18 But I have [your full payment] and more; I have everything I need and am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent me. [They are the] fragrant odor of an offering and sacrifice which God welcomes and in which He delights. 1. The anointing that gave them revelation caused their seed to grow. 2. Vs 15 Their giving opened up a heavenly debit and credit account. 3. Vs 16 They gave on a continuous basis into Paul s ministry. 4. Their needs were met as a result of harvest on their seed. C. Acts 10:1 Now [living] at Caesarea there was a man whose name was Cornelius, a centurion (captain) of what was known as the Italian Regiment, 2 A devout man who venerated God and treated Him with reverential obedience, as did all his household; and he gave much alms to the people and prayed continually to God. 3 About the ninth hour (about 3:00 p.m.) of the day he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God entering and saying to him, Cornelius! 4 And he, gazing intently at him, became frightened and said, What is it, Lord? And the angel said to him, Your prayers and your [generous] gifts to the poor have come up [as a sacrifice] to God and have been remembered by Him. 7
1. Vs 4 Cornelius prayers and giving were a memorial. a. Memorial means a record and a reminder. b. Your giving shows up in the throne room! 2. Vs 30 And Cornelius said, This is now the fourth day since about this time I was observing the ninth hour (three o clock in the afternoon) of prayer in my lodging place; [suddenly] a man stood before me in dazzling apparel, 31 And he said, Cornelius, your prayer has been heard and harkened to, and your donations to the poor have been known and preserved before God [so that He heeds and is about to help you]. a. When prayer and giving were combined, the answer was released. b. Cornelius had been praying to get closer to God. c. The prayer and giving resulted in Peter being sent to preach to him. 8
