Sermon : RPG-C I Thessalonians 5: 16-18 Dr. Jung Joo Kim Be Joyful always; Pray continually; give thanks in all circumstance, for this is God s will for you in Christ Jesus.
1. Rejoice in the Lord always. Mark 10: 45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
Testimony by YOUNG A JUNG I am Jung Young A vice president of the NZKWCTU. I want to share with everyone a miracle, which was brought to me whilst rejoicing the Lord. My mother who believed in Buddhism all her life was suddenly converted to believe in Christ. It happened at the YTC concert, filled with praise of the Lord in December, 2011.
She started to go to church, and participated in the KWCTU s monthly meetings. My sister who was an alcoholic also came to believe in Jesus Christ and stopped drinking. My four sons started going to Sunday School, and even my husband has begun to willingly go to church for the last 2 weeks. All these miracles happened through my rejoicing of the Lord and by his grace.
2. Pray constantly without ceasing. Romans 8: 34 Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who diedmore than that, who was raised to lifeis at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.
Testimony by MOON JA KIM I would like to share with you the answer to my intercession of the last 19 years. In September, 1993, the centennial of the Women s Suffrage was held in Wellington. Dr. Jung Joo Kim challenged Koreans in New Zealand to participate in the temperance movement. Since then, I persisted to intercede for the last 19 years.
In 2012, I got to know that a NKWCTU had formed. I was overwhelmed by the Lord who did not ignore my smallest prayers. Since then, I have actively participated in the temperance movement. At the world convention, I am interceding for the revival of the temperance movement worldwide.
3. Giving thanks in all circumstances. I Corinthians 11: 24-25 When he had given thanks, he broke it and said, This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me. In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.
I would like to share with you a miracle, regarding giving thanks. I felt a great thirst for the Word of God for a long time. By God s grace, I joined a Bible Study group in the neighborhood. There, I met Jesus Christ anew. This Bible Study grew to become the NZKWCTU.
After I began to lead a life of thanksgiving, miracles started to happen. My daughters participated in the YTC and by God s grace, were admitted into Yonsei University. Instead of adhering to the drinking culture of the university, they shared the Gospel and temperance message.
4. Obey God s commandments. Philippians 2:8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled himself And became obedient to deatheven death on a cross!
Testimony by Su Yeon Gwak I would like to share with you the blessings that God gives us if we have obedient faith. 7 years ago, I completed my degree in the violin at Ewha Women s University and received a Master s in Music Therapy. After graduation, I began to pray about my future career. While looking for a job, I went to a professor I knew well in order to receive a recommendation letter. The professor was someone who had led me in Bible Study during for 7 years.
The professor informed me that the hospital I was applying for a job at, was an alcohol treatment facility, funded by an alcohol company. She suggested that rather than working at the hospital, I should serve at the World Temperance Union. I happily said Yes. After that, I became the secretary of the KWCTU and experienced some amazing miracl es whilst working for the temperance movement.
I thank God for allowing me to participate today in my third World Convention. All this is by the grace of Jesus Christ s cross.
