1 Thessalonians 1:9-10, For they themselves show of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God; And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come. 1 Thessalonians 5:9, For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ. When is this wrath? Revelation 6:16-17, And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? Someone on the radio preaching said, You are going through the Tribulation and don t let anyone talk you out of it. He used Matthew 24:23. His point was, Jesus would not have said it, if we didn t have to do it. However, in Matthew 24, Jesus was not even talking to the Church. He was talking to the Jews. Replacement Theology People have been so affected by Replacement Theology that they think every verse in the Bible is talking about them it is not! All of the Bible is for the Church, but not all the Bible is about the Church. Some of the Bible is about other people. In Matthew 24, Jesus talks to the Jews. V. The Body of Christ, the Church. The Body of Christ has come in during the age of the Gospel of Grace. Acts 20:24, But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God. We believers ask ourselves, What does the Word say? Concerning the Church, the Body of Christ, the Letters are our guide! It is a great blessing to be chosen by THE LORD TO BE THOSE WHO ARE RUNNING THE LAST LAP OF THE RACE. We are THE OVERCOMERS!!!!! Be an Overcomer Day 2 I. Jared (grandson) at camp. Jared attended a month-long camp that was evangelistic in purpose. A preacher of their denomination came in one night and preached on end times. All the boys came in scared and crying. They stayed up all night reading the book of Revelation. They said to Jared, Aren t you scared? Jared said, Why, no. My grandmother has been preaching on these things all my life. I m not afraid. I m glad to be alive in these days. II. What do we overcome? Primarily the enemy of God and of His plans. Revelation 12:10-11, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. As the end approaches, Satan is fighting for survival. Satan has come forth on all fronts, seemingly all at once, fighting for survival. Everything now is spiritual. It is not political. Even as we approach these days before the election of the president of the United States of America, things are not political they are spiritual. Having Overcome All, Stand Day 3 I. The Pre-Adamic Civilization Day 4 I. The origins of Satan and his kingdom Genesis 1:1-2, In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void (tohu v bohu); and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. K.E. Hagin said: Evidently Lucifer had a throne indicating some kind of authority below the clouds and stars. It could have encompassed and included the realm and domain of the earth. It is possible that 1. The evil spirits we now have on the earth were fallen spirit beings from that creation. 2. Another possibility is that evil spirits also include angels that fell in Lucifer s rebellion (Revelation 12:4, 9). Man was not a part of the pre-adamic creation: 1 Corinthians 15:45, And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. Genesis 3:1, AMPC, Now the serpent was more subtle and crafty than any living creature of the field which the Lord God had made. Genesis 3:13, AMPC, And the woman said, The serpent beguiled (cheated, outwitted, and deceived) me, and I ate. Adversary. In Hebrew, the word satan means adversary. 1 Peter 5:8-9, Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, waketh about, seeking whom he may devour: whom resist stedfast in the faith. Thief, killer and destroyer. John 10:10, The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. Murderer and liar. John 8:44, Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. Accuser of the brethren. Revelation 12:10, For the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. Satan accuses us to one another. Satan accuses us to ourselves. Satan lies and says you have committed the unpardonable sin. Deceiver Revelation 12:9, And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Satan deceptively transforms himself into an angel of light. 2 Corinthians 11:14, And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Matthew 6:23, But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! Luke 11:34-36, The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness. 35 Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness. 36 If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light. John 16:11, Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. 1 Corinthians 2:6, Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: 1 Corinthians 2:8, Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. II. The prince of the power (authority) of the air. Ephesians 2:2, Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience. III. The god of this world system 2 Corinthians 4:3-4, But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. If people understood that Satan is the god of this world, it would clear up a lot of confusion they have about why evil exists on this earth. God will judge all that and remove it from the earth. That is what the Tribulation Period, and even the Millennium are all about. Don t blame God! Satan s kingdom is the kingdom of darkness We are in the world, but not of it. IV. We are told to rule and reign with Christ Jesus. John 17:11-16, And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. 12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled. 13 And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves. 14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. 16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Who turned the kingdoms of the world over to Satan? Was it God? No. God gave them to Adam originally, but when Adam sinned and disobeyed God, he forfeited his right to them, so Satan took dominion of them. Satan did not have dominion over the world before Adam give it to him, because Satan fell from the dominion he did have. So, Adam had the dominion over the earth originally, but he delivered it into Satan s hands when he disobeyed God s commandment. That s when Satan became the god of this world. Romans 5:14, 17, AMPC, Yet death held sway from Adam to Moses [the Lawgiver], even over those who did not themselves transgress [a positive command] as Adam did. 17 For if because of one man s trespass (lapse, offense) death reigned through that one, much more surely will those who receive [God s] overflowing grace (unmerited favor) and the free gift of righteousness [putting them into right standing with Himself] reign as kings in life through the one Man Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One). Satan s Place in the Heavenlies Day 3 I. The Bible speaks of three heavens. The atmospheric heavens above the earth. The starry heavens space. The third heaven where God s throne is. 2 Corinthians 12:2-4, I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven. 3 And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) 4 How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.
