St Gall Faith Formation 2017-2018 Schedule, Tuition, and Volunteer Form Striving to build the Kingdom of God, one Child at a time... Fee Policy for Faith Formation - Please register by June 30! Thank you for enrolling your student in the next step of Faith Formation. St. Gall requires parents to pay fees in order to help defray the costs involved in providing your children with faith formation. Total fees are DUE with your registration on or before AUG. 1, 2017 unless arrangements have been made for monthly payments. After Aug. 1, 2017 there will be a $35.00 late fee assessed for those registrations received and a $50.00 late fee for registrations received after Sept. 1, 2017. The late fee will not be assessed to new families joining the parish after Aug.1st provided fees are paid at time of registration. In circumstances of true need, St. Gall shall consider it an honor to provide financial assistance. All requests will be kept in the strictest confidence. We also have an Adopt-a-Student Program for those wishing to donate any of the following amounts below. Please know that no amount is too small and your generosity is greatly appreciated. MAY - AUGUST 2017 EVENTS May 13 Fried Chicken Dinner Cake Wars! Family Mass and St. Gall Dinner 5:30pm fried chicken dinner in the Hall after the 4:30pm Mass. CAKE WARS at 6pm! Bring supplies to decorate your 9x12 cake with either theme: The Resurrection or the 100th Anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima. Register to compete or just come to judge cakes and pick the winner! WHERE MARY S GARDEN GROWS 7pm MAY CROWNING procession with First Communion students to the St. Francis Garden. Bring annuals to be planted by our new statue of Mary at the new Church location. Let s make her home beautiful! Graduation Mass May 28 11:00 a.m. 8th grade and 12th grade students will receive a special blessing at this Mass. Gifts for students are in the Hall! RSVP to FF/YM office for your student s recognition at Mass and reception! PILGRIMAGE WALKS! June 11 and June 25 Sunday, June 11, before the dedication Mass at 3pm, we will begin our walk from the Shannon Street location at 2pm to the new Church on Hughes Road as a sign of our journey from one sacred place to another. It takes approximately 20 minutes and should give us plenty of time to get a seat for Mass. Sunday, June 25, after the 3pm Farewell Mass, we will have a barbeque at Shannon Street. After the barbeque, Father DiTomo will carry the Holy Eucharist to its new home, as we process from Shannon Street to the new Church at Hughes Road. VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL June 12-16 from 9am-12pm MARVELOUS MYSTERY The Mass comes ALIVE! For Kindergarten to 5th grade. 5th grade and up can be Mystery Leaders! $25 per child. Road Trip to St. Michael s Church and Lincoln Park Zoo For all ages! June 27, 2017 Leave Elburn with the 9:25am train (Train fare each way $8.50 or less) Taking the Metra, the L and walking! (Train fare each way $3 or less) Free admission to the Zoo/ Conservatory Lunch and dinner at the Zoo/ Conservatory Return on the train; arrive home around 7:30pm Visit historic St. Michael s Church in Old Town where we will attend Mass and tour the Church. Lunch at the Lincoln Park Zoo and a visit to the butterfly conservation garden in the Lincoln Park Conservatory! Open to the whole parish! Registration is necessary.
