In the Mix Julie MacCormack provided a recipe from her Aunt Eunice from their 45 th family reunion in 2015. If you enjoy beans, give it a try! Aunt Eunice s Calico Beans 2 Cans Bush s Baked Beans (any style) 1 Can Kidney Beans (drain) 1 or 2 Cans Goya Butter Beans (drain I use 2) ½ lb. Ground Beef 1 Fairly Large Onion ¼ Cup Ketchup 2 Tbls. Mustard * ¾ Cup Brown Sugar * ¾ Cup White Sugar * ½ Cup Molasses Salt and Pepper Fry Bacon, remove and add onion and sauté. Add ground beef and cook until brown. Add sugars. Put all ingredients in a casserole dish and mix well. Bake at 350 degrees for ½ hour before serving. These can be made ahead and can be frozen. (* Julie I personally cut way back on the sugar that s called for. When I make them I use a little less than ½ cup of brown sugar and no white sugar at all. I add about 1/3 cup of molasses. They seem to come out great no matter what you do to them. Enjoy.) Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies... She is like the merchant ships, she brings her food from afar. She also rises while it is yet night, and provides food for her household, and a portion for her maidservants. (Proverbs 31:10, 14-15) 15
Children s Page Parts of the Body in the Bible 1) A fool s is his destruction and his are the snare of his soul (Proverbs 18:7) 2) A wicked doer gives heed to false ; and a liar gives to a naughty (Proverbs 17:4) 3) He becomes poor that deals with a slack : but the of the diligent makes rich (Proverbs 10:4) 4) Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble is like a broken, and a out of joint (Proverbs 25:19). 5) A wicked man hardens his : but as for the upright, he directs his way (Proverbs 21:29) 6) For my shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my (Proverbs 8:7) 7) Out of the same proceeds blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so (James 3:10) 8) But the can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison (James 3:8) 9) If thy right offend you, pluck it out, and cast it from you: for it is profitable for you that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell (Matthew 5:29) 10) The is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? (Jeremiah 17:9) And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing. (1 Corinthians 13:3) 16
