She also is a composer and arranger and several of her piano and choral arrangements are published by Augsburg Fortress. She is also a psychiatrist in private practice and enjoys gardening, yoga, singing with the Festival Choir of Madison, and her two spunky dogs. Homeless Shelter (Thurs., April 14th) Please consider signing up to help as a server or provide food for Homeless Shelter, Thursday, April 14th. Meet at church at 6:30pm. Signup sheets are on the bulletin board. Contact Doris Fish if you have any questions (cell: 608-279-5418) Mission & Adult Activity Opportunities MISSIONS: MOM Volunteer Opportunity: Join us for Canstruction Madison, a community competition to end hunger at West Towne Mall. Teams of local businesses, architects, engineers, students, churches and community members build incredible, imaginative structures out of canned and packaged goods that are later donated to the MOM Food Pantry serving Cross Plains, Middleton and west Madison. Several volunteer shifts are available on 4/18, 4/24 & 4/25 to unload food, empty boxes, dismantle structures, etc. For more information, or to register: Constructionmadison.org. MISSIONS: Infant Kits for Global Missions (collection through April 17): Items needed: bath towels (no larger than 48 ), wash clothes, Ivory Soap, cotton t-shirts newborn (size 0 3 months), infant stocking caps, receiving blankets 30 x 30, cloth diapers and diaper pins. All items should be brought to the narthex by Sunday, 4/20. Gently used items accepted. For your convenience, you can shop for items already purchased by the Missions Team by visiting the table in the narthex, or make a financial donation so additional items can be purchased. The Infant Care Kits will be brought to the Synod Assembly by our representatives Deb & Ron Goplin. MISSIONS: Habitat For Humanity: If you are interested in volunteering for the Sun Prairie Build on Saturday 5/14, please contact Maureen at msberghoefer@tds.net. Other tentative dates planned for the Madison West Side Build are Saturday 6/11 & Saturday 6/25, please mark your calendars and watch for updated information. ADULT ACTIVITIES: St. Martin s Book Club: The Shack by William Young Where Tragedy Confronts Eternity. We will meet on a convenient evening decided on by participants in late April to discuss the first half of the book and in mid May to discuss the remainder. Office coverage help is needed during Pastor Kirsten s absence. We are looking for people to help cover church phones on Tuesday s and Thursdays (10a 2p). Save the Date! Spring Clean-Up Day (April 30th) Saturday, April 30 (8a to 2p) is 'Spring Clean-up Day Each spring St. Martins outdoor property needs sprucing up. Volunteers needed! Sign-up on the sheet in the Narthex. You may arrive anytime after 8am on Saturday April 30. Volunteer for as long as you are able. Bring gloves, yard tools etc. A lunch will be available! May 6 & 7th!

Please join us on this fun, outreach fundraiser that is coming up quickly! Friday, May 6 (9a-11a) & Sat., May 7 (9a-Noon) -- Held during Cross Plains Trout Days Under the white tent on the front lawn of St. Martin s Church! Here are some of the things you can do to support the sale: * Divide perennials and/or house plants to donate. Need sun lover and shade plants. Big or small. * Donate pots, containers for gardeners to use digging out plants. (Place on sidewalk outside by the bell tower.) Please volunteer to help many hands are needed! Examples of help needed: Set up plants at sale, pricing plants, assisting customers, cashier, etc. A sign-up sheet to volunteer and/or donate plants is displayed in the narthex. Invite your neighbors and friends to the sale. There will be invite cards and posters available in the narthex. Please bring your plants to the church the week of the sale, due by Thur. May 5th, designated area by the prayer garden. Provide the name of your plant(s), shade or sun (you don't need to price).
