Page 3 Congregational Meeting The Oakwood family is encouraged to join us on Sunday, October 25, ten minutes following the Worship Service for a Congregational Meeting. The meeting will last no longer than 45 minutes. Childcare will be available for those who sign up at the Welcome Center in TreeHouse or at the Information Center in the Worship Center lobby. GroupLink Did you miss GroupLink? You still have an opportunity this week to sign-up for a Community Group immediately following the Worship Service -- this is our next step to Grow in Community! One of the groups is full, but there are still openings. These new Starter Groups will begin in October. Groups will initially meet for 8 weeks to begin to taste the benefits of community and to allow each person or couple to determine if this particular group fits them well. After 8 weeks, if the group members gel, they will be invited to make longer-term commitments to grow in faith together. This is your opportunity to experience authentic community and spiritual growth. You will do this by studying the Bible and praying together as well as serving together locally in helping others know Jesus. Don't miss out! Watch for details on the new groups forming. Prayer Triads There are still opportunities for you to sign up at the Information Center to be a point person who will recruit and lead two others to pray with you on a Sunday morning. You will pray with the Worship Team 10 minutes before the service and then with your triad for 15 more minutes, Seeking God to do in us & through us what only He can do! Prayer Guide Our Prayer Team works each month to provide a guide for specific prayer requests. During October you will have a weekly Prayer Request printed on the Announcement Sheet in your Worship Program. Prayer Chain The purpose of Oakwood s E-Prayer Connection is to communicate prayer requests for our fellow Oakwood members, our families, friends, others personally known to us, and the ministries of our church. If you would like to partner in prayer for the needs of our church family, send your full name and email address to ekrex@verizon.net with Prayer Chain Ministry in the subject line. You can also send items to be published for prayer at this same email address.
