Helping Hand It s summer time and the need for nourishment grows. The children are on summer break, and no longer receiving breakfast and lunch at school. We have had an influx in families visiting Helping Hand and are low on the following items: Drink mixes Jelly Peanut Butter Paper towels (i.e. Kool aid, crystal light, ice tea mixes) (all flavors) Thanks for your continued support of Helping Hand. Weekend Blessings Back Pack Program Volunteers, Thank You! Weekend Blessings Back Pack final delivery for the 2013-2014 school year was made to the Foundations Preschool on Thursday, May 29 th. We had a very successful year that would not be possible without the dedication of our volunteers. Our Wednesday delivery pick up volunteers use their own personal vehicles to pick up two weeks of weekend meals for our students at the Jubilee Center, St. David s Episcopal Church. They fill their vehicles with cases of canned goods and food items and deliver it to storage in Fellowship Hall. These wonderful people are: William & Paula Foster, Tom & Rae Gamble, Bud & Becky Koranchan, Bob & Theresa Langthorne, Donald & Charlene Siegrist and David & Nancy Wyman. Thursday afternoons our packing volunteers fill the individual back packs in Fellowship Hall and deliver them to Foundations Preschool for distribution on Fridays to the children. Our volunteers who reside here full time carry us from the start of the school year until the end. We could not have done it without them this year: Louise Abrams, Vivianna Bagley, Betty Ballou, Diana Bryant, Rae Gamble, Carol McChesney, Joan Morris, Sandy Perron and Shirley Williams. Many seasonal residents assisted in the Thursday s packing this year. A thank you to: Margaret Brown, Barb Cherrie, Barbara Farley, Paula Foster, Carol Holmes, Margie Kennedy, Ann Reid, Charlene Siegrist, Norma Watson and Martie Wolf. A very special thank you to Sandy Perron, who maintains our inventory spread sheet, and to Ann Reid, who schedules our pick up and packing volunteers. Many hands make light work. 9
