Reviewed Mission support remaining this year. Cut back by $595.45. Old Business: Harvest Luncheon: October 3 rd at 11:30 am: Feedback: All enjoyed, very good feedback. Catholic Church does not get notification, letters were sent out, they have no Parish Admin. and the Priest has been on vacation. Bible Study Will table until next spring. Ham Dinner- Will use bone-in hams; Thrivent matching funds? Mary Ann has submitted the paper work. Judy S. will get carrots. Diane E. offered to supervise the youth helpers; Gun Lake will again donate potatoes; Russ T. has a crew ready; Sue B. will do the pie room; Diane W. /Phylis B will do the bake sale. Sign-up sheets are up and people are signing up. Bakery is donating the rolls (Thank You). Will set up things a bit differently this year. Clean cups in the middle of the table, silver ware is picked up at the serving line, coffee pots on the tables, milk and water on a separate table, more pickles will be purchased. Carole has everything else ordered through Big Dollar and will be delivered about the 1 st of November. Destruction of old files how long do we need to keep records? Diane E. will table until next spring. New Business: Halloween at the Villa? Decided to cancel due to loss of workers. Will discuss Valentine s day next February. Funeral need volunteer to call for funerals: Carole suggested that we have a sheet that states how many cakes and sandwiches needed for X number of people. Discussed what would be needed for Barbara s Funeral (she will be missed by all), Carole will call to complete the list. Carole suggested we start doing Layettes instead. Can get some items from MACC, just need to purchase diapers. What to do with all the items down stairs? Up for more discussion. Not doing the Shoeboxes this year so it was suggested we get involved with the Blast off for Books program for the Youth Gathering. At this time will not do anything. Heartland Spring Conference will be held here. In April we will do lunch. New Business cont. Community Meal May 16, 2018 we will be serving We received a list of books they are looking for at the Youth Gathering next summer. Do we want to do this because we are not doing the shoeboxes this year? Decided not to do it will have to take a closer look as to what we want to do in the future. The next Youth Gathering will be June 2018. The Fellowship Coffee on the first Sunday of the Month is done by the Youth. Monies received will go into their fund. We look forward to upcoming events in helping our Youth raising the funds for their adventure to Houston Texas.
