ANNOUNCEMENTS THAT REQUIRE YOU TO SIGN UP (CONT.): Emergency Cold Weather Shelter For the 4th year in a row, FAC has been blessed with the opportunity to provide guests from surrounding towns who do not have shelter a place to stay at night. The shelter is open when the temperature drops below 14 or 4 or more inches of snow are predicted. It is a wonderful opportunity to bless those in our community. Every night the shelter is open 9 volunteers cover 3 shifts. The shifts are 5:30 to 10:30 pm, 10:30 pm to 2:30 am, and 2:30 to 7:30 am. We would like to expand our volunteer pool. You do not need to be available 7 days a week or for every shift. Availability is taken into account when shifts are filled. If you are interested in serving with this ministry, there will be a training on Tuesday, October 24 th at 7pm. Please sign up at Welcome Central if you plan on attending! If you cannot attend the meeting but are interested in volunteering, please email Andrea Klement at andrea.klement@faithall.org to arrange another training session. GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS: Congregational Meeting On October 22 nd, there will be a Congregational Meeting after service to vote on revised by-laws and financing for a new roof. All are welcome but only members of FAC will be allowed to vote. For those without email, there are copies of the documents at Welcome Central. 6

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS (CONT.): Connection Sunday October 15th If you are new to Faith Alliance Church in the last 6 months, please join us TODAY in the café after service for about 30 minutes for coffee and snacks. Come meet the staff and the elders to hear more about connecting at FAC. FAC Summer Mission Trips 2018 We are excited to announce this summer we will be returning to Jamaica and NYC! Tentative dates are: NYC: July 15 to July 20 Jamaica: July 28 to Aug 3 Please be thinking and praying about whether God is calling you to go. There will be a mandatory meeting for all who are interested in going on either trip Sunday, October 29 th in the Adult Sunday School room following the service. If you would like to go on a trip and cannot attend this meeting, you must contact Andrea Klement prior to October 29 th andrea.klement@faithall.org. Ladies Mission Prayer Fellowship All ladies are invited to attend the Mission Prayer Fellowship group who meet every 2 nd Tuesday of the month at 1 pm in the 7

Choir Room to pray for our missionaries who share the Gospel of Jesus throughout the world. Not everyone is called to serve as a missionary but we are all called to pray. FAC FISCAL YTD FINANCIALS Weekly Budget $7,550 Received Last Week $6,384 Year to Date Over (Under) Budget ($13,263) 8

PRAYERS & PRAISES: October 4, 2017 October 11, 2017 Praise the Lord for the safe return of Dawn Matera from Romania. Pray for the need of the Canaan Church for insulation. Pray for all those affected by the mass shootings and the California wild fires. Pray for the Christians in these areas to be a light to the victims and their family with the Gospel of Jesus. Pray for wisdom and unity for our Elders in the selection process for a new Youth Director. Praise the Lord for the launch of our MOPS program. Pray for Robin and the leadership team, for the mothers, and the childcare workers. Pray for upcoming Congregational Meeting to authorize our roof repair and approve the new bylaws. Pray that our weekly giving will meet our budget requirements. Pray for Stan Walker as he will be returning from Senegal next month for skin cancer treatments. Pray for Jaynee and Caleb as they are left behind to carry on the ministry. Praise the Lord for meeting the financial needs of our missionaries, John and Betty Arnold, in Burkina Faso. Pray for 8 yr old Elizabeth recovering from brain surgery and 3 yr old Charlie in treatment for cancer. Pray for our Trunk or Treat outreach to the community next Saturday afternoon. Pray the people who attend will see the Love of Jesus through our efforts. 9

CARING FOR THOSE WHO CANNOT BE WITH US As many of you know, we have several people from our church body who are unable to worship with us here each Sunday. We encourage you to send them a card or a package to let them know they are loved and missed. Please keep them in your prayers also. Thank you for your willingness to reach out to those who are unable to attend.
