Sermon Notes Thank you for allowing our nursery staff to care for your little ones so the worship of others will not be distracted. Pagers are available. Children are invited to participate in the Children s Message. When they exit they may join the Little Lambs (age 3-5) or the Worship Center (K-2nd grade). At the close of the service, please call for your child. Both centers are located upstairs, first hallway on the left. As a courtesy, please switch your cell phone & pagers off or to silent mode. Hearing enhancers are available. Please ask an usher. The flow of the worship service is subject to change.
Not to us, O Lord, not to us. But to your name give glory for the sake of your steadfast love and faithfulness (Psalm 115:1). We gather for worship not for us, but him who gave himself up for us. As you come into his presence, ask God to remove any distractions and allow your heart and mind to seek him and his glory this morning. Pastor Michael continues his series on the early ministry of Paul. This morning Saul and Barnabas will leave on their first missionary journey and immediately be confronted with opposition. How will they respond? How would we? Next week, we will read about and think on the very first church council meeting ever recorded in Acts 15. What we can learn from it for today? Pastor Michael s sermon discussion class will take place in the Fireside Room immediately following the worship service. Everyone is welcome! If the door is closed, feel free to come on in and help us learn together! Today has been designated by our denomination as Sanctity of Life Sunday. While we focus on protection of the lives of the unborn we ought also to be reminded that the same sanctity applies to all lives: born and unborn, immigrant and non-immigrant, healthy and sick, young and old, African and Asian and Mexican, rich and poor. All of us have been fearfully and wonderfully made. As a part of Sanctity of Life Sunday, Carol Veurink will be sharing with us about a recent trip she took to the Dominican Republic where she, among other things, volunteered at and delivered supplies to a pregnancy center there. Please pray for the Shepherding Team as they meet tomorrow night. The Associate Pastor Search Team is busy interviewing applicants and making reference calls. Please pray for them and the applicants as we discern God s will for our future leadership. Your offering next Sunday, January 28, for the Pease CRC Scholarship Fund. This fund was established to assist students from our church who will be attending Christian colleges.

Dear Friends, Thank you for your kind support and prayers for your new Church plant in the Southwest Metro, Trinity Hill Church. Trinity Hill is a combined effort between Classis Lake Superior, Bridgewood CRC, in Savage and the core group of Trinity Hill. Join us in giving thanks for the following: Since our grand opening on April 16, of 2017, our average attendance has more than doubled. Currently we average 47 people at worship. We had wonderful Services on Christmas Eve Sunday. New people from the community and two of whom continue to attend. We are pleased that a number of people who had stopped attending church are now reconnecting and attending through the ministry of Trinity Hill. We have added programs and classes: Gems, pre-communion classes for children and adolescents, classes for adults. A core group that faithfully gives, a generous group of donors, Churches, Classis Lake Superior, and all who are financially helping this ministry become established. Please Pray: That our efforts to make Trinity Hill known in the community will be successful. For our efforts to evangelize by means of Bible studies and Alpha. For wisdom and stamina for Arlan and Susan as they navigate their teaching jobs and this ministry.
