He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty. From there he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic* church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen. *Benediction *Doxology: Blessed Assurance R572 vs 3 *Postlude PM Offerings for September go to: Elim Christian School Worship Notes Today we give thanks that Sutton and Eli Van Hill are a part of the family of God as we witness their baptisms.

Next Sunday we celebrate the beginning of our church-wide Bible study. Looking at the Holy Spirit we ask what is a Spirit-filled life? Acts 2 presents the coming of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost, an event that changed the world. But has it changed us? We must consider whether or not we truly live a Spirit-filled life by first understanding what that means. Verse of the Week: The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field. Matthew 13:44 This week be in prayer for: - Those who are struggling with their sexual identity - Those who refuse to hear the Gospel message - police officers as they deal with various situations - Hmong CRC in Sheboygan Give thanks for: - God's healing - God's supernatural power - a great variety of people in the world Our Family We rejoice with the following who will celebrate an anniversary & a birthday this week: Birthdays: September September Travis Mulder 8 Andy Schlieve 8 Haylee Derksen 10 Kristin Hofman 13 Anniversaries September Peter & Kristin Hofman 8 John & Arlene De Jager 9 Charlie & Lori Kitchner 10 Jason & Jenni Morgan 13 As Laura and Carlie go through their chemo treatments pray for strength physically, emotionally, and spiritually. May they feel God s presence and our prayers. Kathy Bille is still awaiting her test results. She will be meeting with her doctor this week. Pray for patience as she waits, physical strength, and healing. Lift up Shirley Otto. Doctors have decided there is nothing else they can do for her mom so she has been sent home for her last days. May the family experience God's peace and be able to enjoy each other's company.
