Glory to Jesus Christ! As we were drawing closer to the Christmas Bazaar and Cookie Walk Me and PM Olenka were getting worried a bit.
Not many cookies were being baked and donated towards the cookie walk. Just a few parishioners responded that they will bake and donate. However, in the past 4 days, things have changed. Cookies were being brought and dropped off every day. More and more. Some were coming over to the church kitchen to bake there, day after day. Pierogi work went into two sessions, morning and evening crews (Retiaries in the morning and those who work during the day came in the evening). Parishioners were rescheduling their doctors appointments, just to make themselves available to help. Many were coming every day to volunteer in the kitchen. Generous donations towards the Christmas Bazaar have been overwhelming! It s not any more just pierogi sale, but Christmas Bazaar and Cookie Walk on the full scale. The fifth annual Cookie Walk has broken all of the previous year s records! Yes, we have raised great funds for a good purpose. All of the proceeds from the cookie walk will go to the caregiving committee to help someone locally. The announcement will follow. Yes it was hard and long hours of work But it also was a great fellowship. In these four days, you have showed once again what a strong and dedicated community of Christ followers you are. You have showed your loyalty to your parish family. 2
We are strong as long as we stay together! As long as we Pray, work and celebrate together! May the God s blessing be upon all of you! You are my inspiration! Inspirational reading The Magic Bank Account Imagine that you had won the following *PRIZE* in a contest: Each morning your bank would deposit $86,400 in your private account for your use. However, this prize has rules: The set of rules: 1. Everything that you didn't spend during each day would be taken away from you. 2. You may not simply transfer money into some other account. 3. You may only spend it. 4. Each morning upon awakening, the bank opens your account with another $86,400 for that day. 5. The bank can end the game without warning. At any time it can say, Game Over!". It can close the account and you will not receive a new one. What would you personally do? You would buy anything and everything you wanted, right? Not only for yourself, but for all the people you love and care for. Even for people you don't know, because you couldn't possibly spend it all on yourself, right? You would try to spend every penny, and use it all, because you knew it would be replenished in the morning, right? ACTUALLY, This GAME is REAL... Shocked??? YES! Each of us is already a winner of this *PRIZE*. We just can't seem to see it. The PRIZE is *TIME*. Each morning we awaken to receive 86,400 seconds as a gift of life. And when we go to sleep that night, any remaining time is NOT credited to us. What we haven't used up that day is forever lost. Yesterday is forever gone. Each morning the account is refilled, but the bank can close your account at any time WITHOUT WARNING. SO, what will YOU do with your 86,400 seconds? Those seconds are worth so much more than the same amount in dollars. Think about it and remember to enjoy every second of your life, because time races by so much quicker than you think. So take care of yourself, be happy, love deeply, and enjoy life! Here's wishing you a wonderful and beautiful day. Start spending...and, Have Fun! This is the Day The Lord has made! Rejoice! And, Be Glad in It! Don t complain about growing old. Some people don't get the privilege! 4

264 Church Humor WHERE'S MARY? The ninety-five year old woman at the nursing home received a visit from one of her fellow church members. 'How are you feeling Mary?' the visitor asked. 'Oh,' said the lady, 'I'm just worried sick!' 'What are you worried about, dear?' her friend asked. 'You look like you're in good health. They are taking care of you, aren't they?' 'Yes, they are taking very good care of me.' 'Are you in any pain?' she asked. 'No, I have never had a pain in my life.' 'Well, what are you worried about?' her friend asked again. The lady leaned back in her rocking chair and slowly explained her major worry. 'Every close friend I ever had has already died and gone on to heaven. I'm afraid they're all wondering where I went.' Fifth Annual Cookie Walk Unbelievable Success! Dear bakers of our parish, Thank you very much for your dedication and support. The cookie walk was tremendous success!
