Anthem Pilgrim s Hymn Stephen Paulus Worship in Giving Offertory Go Down Moses arr. H. T. Burleigh Steve Pence, bass (Unless otherwise marked, loose offering goes to local church expense) Anthem Great and Glorious Joseph Haydn Scripture Reading John 6:35, 38-44 Linda Nelson Then Jesus declared, I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. For my Father s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day. At this the Jews there began to grumble about him because he said, I am the bread that came down from heaven. They said, Is this not Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How can he now say, I came down from heaven? Stop grumbling among yourselves, Jesus answered. No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day. Homily Have You Had Enough? Leif Lind
Communion Hymn (Choir & Congregation) I Am the Bread of Life Suzanne Toolan (1) I am the bread of life; they who come to me shall not hunger; They who believe in me shall not thirst. No one can come to me unless the Father draw them. Refrain (congregation): And I will raise them up, and I will raise them up, And I will raise them up on the last day. (2) The bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world, And they who eat of this bread, they shall live for ever, they shall live for ever. (3) Unless you eat of the flesh of the Son of Man And drink of his blood, you shall not have life within you, you shall not have life within you. (4) I am the resurrection, I am the life. They who believe in me, even if they die, they shall live for ever. (5) Yes, Lord, we believe that you are the Christ, The Son of God, who has come into the world. The program continues Saturday and Sunday at the White Memorial Church. From Todd Leonard, Senior Pastor: We have received notice of the tragic deaths of Amir Issa and his mother Rabihah. Because of a posting on Amir s Facebook page from March 19 that mentions the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Glendale, we have received inquiries about his family s relationship to our congregation. After days of research, we are unable to find anything that connects this family to the Glendale City Seventh-day Adventist Church. Our prayers are with the friends and loved ones of the Issa family during this time.
