Would you like to donate them to the women of our shelter? Some of our women have nothing heavier that a lightweight jacket. Make room in your closet by getting rid of those old coats and jackets you haven t worn in ages. Just bring them to the office or drop them off in the food basket in the Gathering Space this month. Thank you. THANK YOU to everyone that helped make our Giving Tree a big success! 2017 CHRISTMAS ORNAMENTS SALES A BIG SUCCESS! This year, we offered 2 different porcelain ornaments and they were all sold. Even a few from last year were all picked up. In all, 107 Christmas ornaments went home with parishioners giving Holy Spirit Parish approximately $800 in profits. THANK YOU to all who supported the project by purchasing one or more of these beautiful handmade ornaments and for contributing to our church funds. 3
SECOND SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME / SEGUNDO DOMINGO EN TIEMPO ORDINARIO Another Winner Where is it? This is the last week of our Where is it? photo contest. Do you recognize the picture? Do you know its location? Enter our contest. The contest is designed to help you get to know your parish facilities our church, chapel, school building and office. Each week during Advent and Christmas there will be a picture in the bulletin of something to be found here on our parish grounds. By the way, we have prizes too! No parish funds were spent on the prizes. Congratulations Amanda for identifying the picture of St. Francis which is in our chapel. No one correctly identified the picture of Jesus on the cross which hangs in the hall way of our school buiding. It is in this manner that the SVDP Society is able to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those we encounter. In the past year, the entire sum of your contributions was dispensed for this purpose. Your generosity enabled us to aid 599 individuals with 181 contacts in person and by phone. At an average of $250 per pledge we kept families from eviction and their utilities on.
