Don & Kathy Allen Don & Kathy Allen serve with The Navigators on the campus of Cal-State Long Beach. They take the good news of the Gospel to students, by both proclamation and outreach in relational networks. The campus draws students from all nations, who are exposed to the Gospel, with the hopes that they will take that Gospel message back to their nations. Discipleship takes place with the goal of passing on to others what has been entrusted to them and raising up more laborers to go out with the good news of the Gospel. -Pray we and all involved in our ministry will abide in Christ (John 15:4, 5). Our ministry must flow from our communion with Him! -Pray that our ministry would be devoted to prayer, find open doors for the gospel, and for wisdom in our ministry among people and that God would work to draw students to Christ and cause others to grow as His disciples (Colossians 4:2-6). -Pray God would send key laborers to join us at CSULB and that God would continue to send out laborers from the campus to impact our nation and the nations (Matthew 9:36-38)! Claudia Calderon Claudia Calderon serves with Child Evangelism Fellowship in Los Angeles, with the goal of bringing the good news of the Gospel to children in the Spanish-speaking communities. Claudia teaches and provides training for reaching children through Good News Clubs in homes, housing projects, parks, community centers and schools. -Pray that God will continue to guide this ministry and open doors to share the Gospel with thousands of children each year. -Pray that the Board of Directors and I would seek God s glory in every decision, idea or task. -Pray that God moves people s hearts to support this ministry, financially and in prayer. Tim Carns Tim Carns works primarily with The Master s Academy International (TMAI) and the MacArthur Expository Centers, with the goal of equipping pastors both locally and internationally to better understand God s Word and more accurately teach it. He also serves as part-time Pastor of Missions & Discipleship here at Calvary Bible and provides vision and direction for missions and outreach, in general, as well as short-term mission trips with the local church body. -Please pray for the developing ministry in the Philippines. There are currently two groups that I am teaching with the possibility of two more starting up next year. Pray for wisdom in coordinating the 4

schedule for these four different sites and that the pastors would be helped in their preaching and shepherding as a result of the training -Pray also for wisdom regarding other possible areas to do training (Los Angeles, Africa, other parts of Asia). Pray the Lord would make His will obvious as to which areas to pursue. Carole Clarke Carole Clarke serves as co-director of House of Blessing, a transitional home for homeless women in South Los Angeles. House of Blessing provides a safe harbor for hurting women who are seeking recovery from drugs, alcohol or other dysfunctions, and who desire another chance to launch a successful life. The goal of House of Blessing is to introduce them to Jesus Christ, teach them positive life skills and reintegrate them into society to bless the community and bring glory to God. -Women will come to Christ and find a stable lifestyle. -The new project with area churches. Funds to purchase the Leighton house. - Strength for volunteer staff and for volunteers who teach/serve in many ways. That we will be faithful to love God and His broken ones more every day. Goodwin & Justine Deng Goodwin & Justine Deng serve with Campus Crusade for Christ on the campus of UCLA. As campus field staff, their focus is on reaching university students both stateside and overseas in a closed country in Asia. While serving through various means, the emphasis is on winning students to Christ through evangelism, building students up through discipleship, and sending them out to further the Great Commission. The hope is to partner with local churches in this endeavor, and to raise up national leadership towards self-sustaining movements and church plants. -We have students living missionally throughout the UCLA campus. Please be praying that lights for Christ would shine brightly in: the dorms, Greek life, SAA (Students Alumni Assoc.), the nursing program, reaching int l students, ROTC, Mock Trial, Marching Band and Athletes in Action (AIA) and many others! -Please pray with us for God to raise up full teams of students (6 or more each) for both of our UCLA campus partner countries during the 2016-2017 school year. We are trusting God to do BIG things! -There are nearly 1.4 billion people in East Asia and 127 million people in Japan. Please join us in praying for the salvation of many in these countries! A MISSION-FOCUSED CHURCH 5

Tim & Toni Ghrist Tim & Toni Ghrist serve with Lighthouse for Christ Mission, whose purpose is to heal the spiritual and physical blindness of the many on the East Coast of Africa, especially targeting the Moslem people living in the area. The evangelistic eye clinic that Tim oversees is used to reach, in a friendly way, the citizens of Kenya for Christ. The ministry is also committed to planting and encouraging community churches, by providing training and discipleship of young pastors. -For the opening of our 5th satellite eye clinic in Malindi, 100 miles north of Mombasa. -For many souls to be saved as people hear the Gospel through the eye clinic, through our Bible School students, through the 80 churches that are associated with the Lighthouse, and through many Jesus Film showings monthly all over the Coastal areas! Diane (Dee) Grubb Diane (Dee) Grubb serves with Biblical Ministries Worldwide, ministering to the deaf and deaf-blind in independent apartments in Highland Park. Dee s ministry is to meet their physical needs while taking opportunities to share the Gospel, and provide discipleship. -Salvation of our deaf and deaf-blind. -Growth of the believers and our deaf church. -More missionaries for the deaf and deaf-blind. Charles & Stella Gutierrez Charles & Stella Gutierrez serve with Global Recordings in Temecula, with the overall purpose of reaching tribal or illiterate peoples with the Gospel through the recorded message, and helping them connect with churches for spiritual growth, discipleship, and encouragement. Charles works in the Audio department, processing language data in order that the Bible messages can be edited and ready to be duplicated and distributed. Stella works in the Accounting department at the organization s headquarters. -Ask God to strengthen them for their work in production and accounting, which are key components in the ministry that contribute to the gospel going out to many minority language groups. -Charles and Stella s work is part of a spiritual battle that is delivering people from the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of Light. To this end, pray that they daily walk worthy of their calling in Christ and always put on the whole armor of God. -Pray for the ministry of GRN as it delivers the good news in over 6400 languages and dialects. Pray for recording teams to have success as they seek after more and more remote language groups that are 6

still without the gospel. Pray for perseverance and purity for the global team as together they battle the enemy for the souls of men, women and children. Pray that joy and the love of God would flow from every worker. The Kelleys The Kelleys serve in the Middle East. Their mission purpose is to build personal relationships with unsaved nations, evangelize, and build one-on-one discipleship relationships, with the hopes of working alongside the local church to progress church planting initiatives. -Business Progress: Please pray for wisdom for all the decision to be made. -Growing Network: As we meet with local business owners and suppliers, we are building many meaningful relationships. Pray we are able to build trust with locals, and for many opportunities to share the gospel. -Present decisions and long-term fruit: As we build our business and ministry today, pray for wisdom to ensure that our decisions will lead us to achieve our long-term goals of evangelism and church planting, as well as developing local believers to manage the businesses and own the ministry vision. Roland & Irene King Roland & Irene King serve with Global Recordings in Temecula, with the overall purpose of reaching tribal or illiterate peoples with the Gospel through the recorded message, and helping them connect with churches for spiritual growth, discipleship, and encouragement. Roland works as the Shipping Supervisor at the organization s headquarters. Irene works in the home office as the Executive Assistant to the Director. -Pray that all of us at GRN would grow in faith as we trust God for resources needed to continue in our task of providing gospel messages for every language group. -Pray that more churches and individuals would catch the vision of how our audio materials could enable their own ministries to reach the internationals around them. -Pray that God would guide us personally as we begin to think about reducing/changing our work schedules at the office. Pray that our lives would be the sweet aroma of life (2 Cor. 2:14-17) to all that we are around. A MISSION-FOCUSED CHURCH 7

Aleksei & Natasha Kuznetsov Aleksei & Natasha Kuznetsov serve with The Master s Academy International (TMAI) through a church plant in St. Petersburg, Russia. TMAI is a non-profit organization providing educational and financial resources to a fellowship of biblically sound training ministries worldwide. These qualified centers are committed to preparing gifted men to lead and plant churches in the context of their own country and culture. These men are trained to evangelize, equip others for local church service, and entrust this ministry to the next generation of faithful men. -Continue to pray fervently for the building up of our pastoral team, that we may not be afraid of being open and vulnerable with each other and through this also that we would build each other up in love of God and people. -Also continue to pray for the brothers in our church, that they will not be passive in the ministry in their families, and devote themselves to the service of the church. - Pray for our family that we will become more profound in our spiritual unity with each other. Pray for the salvation of my kids. I see that God is at work in them, yet worldly values have on them a lot of pressure. This is our greatest need the salvation of our children, so we ask you to pray for them with us. Rosalie Ranquist Rosalie Ranquist serves as an International Literacy Consultant/Teacher who works with tribal missionary teams within New Tribes Mission, to promote literacy within each ethnic group where they work. Please pray along with me that God would raise up more laborers to go forth into His harvest fields here at home and around the world. -That I would be able to continue serving the Lord here and overseas as I work with the Sinasina tribal group in Papua New Guinea via the internet providing a good supply of all the tribal teaching helps in their language, worked on over the years. Printing is very expensive over there so I m trying to help them as I can. -Pray that I ll be a faithful prayer warrior to my supporting churches like Calvary Bible Church, as well as any friends who pray and share with me as they are able and led of the Lord. Wherever God has me, I want to be a faithful witness for Him until He calls me home. 8

Sean trains pastors at The Expositor s Academy (TEA), a TMAI training center in Manila, in partnership with three local churches in the area. The focus is on expository preaching and pastoral ministry. Sean s goal is to fully establish the Master s Academy (TMAI) with certificate, B.A., M.Div. and doctoral programs for men who are already in the ministry or desiring to be equipped to be ministers. -Pray that our Expository Preaching and Pastoral Ministry Program, both in the Manila area, Davao and Cebu, would be helpful in the development of good preachers with godly character. -Pray for the Lord s guidance as our school, The Expositor s Academy, seeks to expand our training to other areas around Manila and to other Islands throughout the country. -Pray for Jessica and me to be godly parents who shepherd our kids hearts towards Christ. A MISSION-FOCUSED CHURCH 9

ORGANIZATIONS ABORT73.com Michael & Carrie Spielman ABORT73.com, is a website designed in 2005 by Michael Spielman, aimed to creatively and comprehensively educate students about the injustice of abortion, and provide them with simple tools to help pass that education along to others. Motivated by our Christian calling to establish justice, to expose evil injustices, to minister to the needy and helpless, and to extend love to every human person, ABORT73.com aims to expose the practice of abortion as an injustice of historic proportions, by sharing the massive body of evidence that stands against it. -Pray for the scared, pregnant women who sit alone at their computers, contemplating abortion. Pray that something gets them to Abort73.com. -Pray that Abort73 will change the minds of those who support abortion and end the apathy of those who oppose abortion. -Pray that more monthly donors will be added to our support team. Avenues Pregnancy Clinics Dan Steiner, Director Avenues Pregnancy Clinics in Glendale and Hollywood provide counseling, prenatal and ultrasound examinations and practical support to women facing crisis pregnancies. Avenues encourages women to complete their pregnancies by providing information regarding the life of the unborn child, and by giving parenting information and spiritual direction as to God s love for her and her child. Avenues also provides post-abortion counseling for women traumatized by previous abortions. Dan Steiner is the director of Avenues Pregnancy Clinics. -Ask God for abortion-seeking women to come to the clinic and to open their hearts to the gospel. -Pray that the Lord would move in the hearts of people to give to this Gospel-based ministry and that He would bless the Walk for Life and Annual Banquet, the main fundraising events for the clinics. AWANA Clubs International Steve & Karen Hydanus AWANA Clubs International is an international, Bible-centered children s and youth ministry providing local churches with weekly clubs and programs for preschool through high school. Our goal is to equip churches to reach children and teenagers, and their families, with the Gospel of Christ, and train them to serve Him. The acronym AWANA comes from the first letters of Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed, taken from 2 Timothy 2:15. Steve & Karen Hydanus serve as the California Golden West missionaries. 10

-That Karen and I build long lasting and deep relationships with the area churches. Healthy churches reach kids, and that is what we are called to do. It is part of the three fold effort of AWANA, to reach Kids. -The second thing is to equip leaders. Training is vital. Trained leaders are more effective. Effective leaders reach more kids. Pray that the area trainings fully equip the area leaders. -Ultimately we want to change the world one kid at a time. Pray that the churches in the area have a heart to disciple and evangelize those God brings to them. CBC Evangelism CBC Evangelism is a team of dedicated evangelists, who go out on the streets of Burbank, North Hollywood, and Hollywood to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ to a lost and dying world. Check out the blog for times and locations for the regular Saturday night outreach. -Prayers for strength, courage, wisdom, grace, love for the lost, and opportunities to share the gospel. And He was saying to them, The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest. (Luke 10:2) -Please pray that CBC would respond to Pastor Kempiz s message to bring all saints to arms regarding evangelistic ministries... like the street evangelism team as evidenced by more church members joining the team as little as a couple of nights a year to get their feet wet and to build their apologetic for the Gospel by handing out tracts provided by CBC and by having one to one conversations with lost souls in need of salvation. Hope Again Ross & Vicki Lokken Hope Again is a faith-based, non-profit transitional housing ministry for the marginalized and homeless in the city of Los Angeles, the poorer part of Hollywood. Our purpose is to fill the gap in social services for the disenfranchised. Hope Again works with clients to develop a fresh start with a plan for living as a successful, contributing member of society, with a biblical, Christ-centered emphasis. Ross Lokken is the Executive Director. -Please pray for God to do His work in the hearts and lives of our residents and day clients. -Please pray for our residents to commit to programming and embrace their responsibility to work hard towards a successful future. -Please pray that all needs of this ministry (material items, volunteer help, staff needs, prayer support, financial support) will by God s grace and mercy, be met... above and beyond all we could ever ask or imagine...
