Ingrid Laing Bedward was born April 16, 1945 in Kingston, Jamaica to Warrington and Edna Laing, the elder to sister, Leonia Bedward who resides in Coral Spring, Florida. Ingrid was an extremely bright student, breaking the racial barriers by academic achievements, and surpassing her competitors on the mandatory entrance examination, Ingrid entered the prestigious Wolmer's Girls High School and Alpha Academy. Ingrid later met the love of her life Oswald Bedward. On December 25, 1971 they were married and relocated to New York on May 15, 1972. Married for 52 years Oswald and Ingrid raised two children, Richard who resides in Jamaica and Andre in New York. In 1972 Ingrid and Oswald began a new life in New York. Given her love for knowledge and education Ingrid attended Fordham University (Biology). Ingrid was invested in homeopathic practices and boldly shared her knowledge. She worked various jobs but eventually resigned to what mattered most in her life, faithfully caring for her family. She possessed the talents of a chef and loved preparing delicious home cooked meals and baking from scratch. She was always ready for a challenge and never backed down from obtaining what was best for her husband and family. She loved her sons and grandsons Kevin Bedward (Richard) and Jordanian Bedward (Richard) and she was an active grandmother. A woman of faith and the heart of the Bedward family, Ingrid shaped their spirituality by her tireless Christian example. Ingrid loved God, the word of God, people, gardening and music. She was baptized at an early age, but in 2004 as Ingrid grew in wisdom and knowledge, she rededicated herself to the Lord and Pastor Robin Griffiths baptized her by submersion in the Johnson River, St. Thomas Jamaica. Ingrid had a real zest for life and wanted the world to know the God of her salvation. Ingrid last life span was spent as a member of the Brockwall Tabernacle NTC, Reverend Robin Griffiths, pastor. She held various bible studies, daily prayer groups and activities i.e. conferences. Possessing a true servant s heart, Ingrid counseled young women, locally and internationally, who even now are being changed by her witness of constant nurturing love and faith. Ingrid was a beacon of faith, hope and charity. Her friends are numerous, but those she took into her bosom, consistently poured into, radically interceded for and loved unconditionally, Racquel Russel (Seattle), Kay Morgan (NY), Angela Powell (AZ), Racquel Moore (GA), Ashley March (GA), Tishauna Dawkins (NY), Rev. Gloria Walton (NJ), Evangelist Debbie Jordan (Jamaica) and Rise Hunter (FL). Ingrid loved her biological sister Leonia, and held close to her heart the relationship with sisters-in-law, Winnifred Neil and Yvonne Allen. Although Ingrid s voice will be missed her memories will live on with friends and loved ones. Ingrid leaves those precious memories with her husband of 52 years, Oswald Bedward, two sons, Richard and Andre Bedward (Tishauna), two grandsons, Kevin Bedward (Kay & Richard) and Jordanian Bedward, one great grandson and one great granddaughter (Jordanian), one sister, Leonia Bedward, two sisters-in-law, Winnifred Neil and Yvonne Allen and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pastor Robin Griffiths Benediction Our Father in Heaven, in as much as you, in your sovereign love, have called the soul of our loved one and friend, Ingrid to be with you, we express our thanks, for the privilege of knowing her. We thank you for the way she impacted our lives, and for your grace through difficult times. We are grateful for your love; you, who sent us the Great Shepherd of the Sheep. You who have prepared a place for all who trust you, and who alone are worthy of our faith, to you we turn for continued strength, continued comfort, continued perspective, continued purpose. Interment Kensico Cemetery Valhalla, New York

Job 19:25-27 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.

Philippians 2:8-16 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.
