Elijah the Prophet the Breaker 30 The breaker (haporetz) who opens the breach rises up before them, they will break through and pass the gate, going out by it. Their king will pass on before them, the LORD at the head of them. In Micah, the two figures are portrayed by the designations (1) the breaker and (2) the king. These two characters, the breaker and their king, were popularly interpreted as referring to Elijah and the Messiah.
