HOMILY NICENE CREED I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible. I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation, he came down from heaven, (All bow while saying:) and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets. I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen. The Church of Saint Bede hosts Sunday Mass at 5 PM and Daily Mass Monday through Thursday at 5:30 PM. These are different from those you are probably used to, but still orthodox and the Sunday Mass fulfills a Roman Catholic's Sunday obligation. All are welcome to attend! In this audio talk, compelling speaker and author Matthew Leonard gives insight into the primacy and importance of a deep prayer life for anyone striving to be a saint. To access Pray Like a Saint, go to www.formed.org, hover over the LISTEN tab, select Talks, and scroll down to the Prayer section. 6 APPEAL FOR ADORERS It is our goal at Holy Family to have at least two adorers present at each hour on the adoration schedule, so that every adorer can have a partner for scheduling back-up and safety during nighttime hours. The program provides formal training that is strengthened through mentorship. As the boys age, they receive greater responsibility - increasing their knowledge of the liturgy. Not only do altar boys have a unique opportunity to participate in the Holy Mass, they also have opportunities to build friendships at yearly pool and bowling parties. Such a formative experience leaves a lasting impression. Boys may start the program at age 10.
