I N S I D E T H I S I S S U E : Birthdays 2 Families in Need of Prayer 2 Monthly Calendar 3 Contact Information 4 Council Activities 4 Greetings Brothers- My hope is this letter finds all of you and your families healthy and doing well. In the near future, those of you who attend Christ the King will notice a kiosk from the Knights of Columbus/Catholic Information Service in New Haven, CT. We have asked Fr. Juan Guido and he graciously accepted to have this placed in the vestibule of CTK. These books are from the series Building The Domestic Church, that you may remember seeing at the K of C State Convention here in Fort Smith this past spring. These books are very good, have good information, and less than 100 pages. There are several different topics including: 'A scriptural rosary for the family', 'FAITH- Questions & Answers', 'Prayers, Meditations, and Activities to enrich your family life', and 'Mary, the Mother of God,' just to name a few. I encourage you to pick up any of these books take them home read them and share them with the family. We will be placing these books at the other Churches in town soon. There will be more information on this when we receive the first kiosk. Also, we have had some folks, down on their luck, who have come in to our churches looking for help. As a Church community we DO NOT want to turn them awaywe want to help. Sadly some people that come in are just looking for a handout and that just hurts everyone. We don't really give to them just to help them but to help ourselves. I know in the Sacristy of CTK, there are cards with information for these people to find the help they need. These cards are labeled - "Resources for People Asking for Assistance". They are there so we can refer these people to find the help they need with out embarrassment to them or us. Please find out where these cards are at your parish. If you haven't had the chance, please, check out our website! Go to KofC996.com The website is GREAT and easy to follow to find what you're looking for. At the beginning of the new year we are looking to go as paperless as possible. If you have an email address please make sure we have that address ASAP. You will be able to find the bulletin on this new website! Please if you still want to receive your bulletin by regular mail, let us know that as well and make sure we have your home address. We have had some Brothers move and for whatever reason we don't have your address correctly on file. So PLEASE if you want to receive the bulletin, by EITHER U.S. mail or email, make sure we have your correct address! Lastly, next time you're in Church, pick up the missalette and open it to the front cover. Read the first message about the Nun that took her class to a nursing home. Thank you! Please pray for the leaders of our Country, that they lead this country to peace and prosperity. And don't forget our Combat Vets! PAX Matt Hutchinson Grand Knight
