Tuesday of Epiphany 1 Morning Prayer

Transcription:

MONDAY Psalms 31:5-7 MSG I've put my life in Your hands. You won't drop me; You'll never let me down You, GOD, I trust. I'm leaping and singing in the circle of Your love; You saw my pain, You disarmed my tormentors, You didn't leave me in their clutches but gave me room to breathe. 2 Corinthians 2:14 AMP But thanks be to God, Who in Christ always leads us in triumph [as trophies of Christ's victory] and through us spreads and makes evident the fragrance of the knowledge of God everywhere! Psalms 100:1-5 AMP A Psalm of thanksgiving and for the thank offering. Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all you lands! Serve the Lord with gladness! Come before His presence with singing! Know (perceive, recognize, and understand with approval) that the Lord is God! It is He Who has made us, not we ourselves [and we are His]! We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and a thank offering and into His courts with praise! Be thankful and say so to Him, bless and affectionately praise His name! For the Lord is good; His mercy and loving-kindness are everlasting, His faithfulness and truth endure to all generations. Psalms 118:24 AMP This is the day which the Lord has brought about; we will rejoice and be glad in it. Isaiah 59:21 "As for Me, this is My covenant with them," says the LORD. "My Spirit, Who is on you, and My words that I have put in your mouth will not depart from your mouth, or from the mouths of your children, or from the mouths of their descendants from this time on and forever," says the LORD. John 13:34-35 A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another. Psalms 141:3 Set a guard over my mouth, O LORD; keep watch over the door of my lips. Jeremiah 51:46 Do not lose heart or be afraid when rumors are heard in the land; one rumor comes this year, another the next, rumors of violence in the land and of ruler against ruler. Romans 4:20-21 Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what He had promised.

TUESDAY Psalms 86:13, 15-16 For great is Your love toward me; You have delivered me from the depths of the grave You, O Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness. Turn to me and have mercy on me; grant Your strength to Your servant and save the son of Your maidservant. 1 Corinthians 15:57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Colossians 3:17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. Ecclesiastes 5:20 He seldom reflects on the days of his life, because God keeps him occupied with gladness of heart. Jeremiah 32:38-41 They will be My people, and I will be their God. I will give them singleness of heart and action, so that they will always fear Me for their own good and the good of their children after them. I will make an everlasting covenant with them: I will never stop doing good to them, and I will inspire them to fear Me, so that they will never turn away from Me. I will rejoice in doing them good and will assuredly plant them in this land with all My heart and soul. Philippians 2:3-5 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus. Psalms 19:14 May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in Your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer. Hebrews 13:6 So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?" Isaiah 50:7 Because the Sovereign LORD helps me, I will not be disgraced. Therefore have I set my face like flint, and I know I will not be put to shame.

WEDNESDAY 1 John 4:16-19 And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. In this way, love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment, because in this world we are like Him. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. We love because He first loved us. Psalms 108:13 With God we will gain the victory, and He will trample down our enemies. Psalms 8:2 From the lips of children and infants You have ordained praise because of Your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger. 1 Peter 1:6-9 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith--of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire--may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. Though you have not seen Him, you love Him; and even though you do not see Him now, you believe in Him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls. Psalms 112:1-2 Praise the LORD. Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who finds great delight in His commands. His children will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails! Hebrews 13:15 Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise--the fruit of lips that confess His name. John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. Psalms 119:114, 119 MSG You're my place of quiet retreat; I wait for Your Word to renew me I lovingly embrace everything You say.

THURSDAY 1 John 4:9-10 This is how God showed His love among us: He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. 1 John 5:4 For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Psalms 119:171 May my lips overflow with praise, for You teach me Your decrees. Psalms 21:6 Surely You have granted me eternal blessings and made me glad with the joy of Your presence. 1 Chronicles 17:26-27 MSG GOD, being the God You are, You have spoken all these wonderful words to me. As if that weren't enough, You've blessed my family so that it will continue in Your presence always. Because You have blessed it, GOD, it's really blessed--blessed for good! Romans 14:19 NIV Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification. Isaiah 54:4-5 Do not be afraid; you will not suffer shame. Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated. You will forget the shame of your youth and remember no more the reproach of your widowhood. For your Maker is your Husband-- the LORD Almighty is His name-- the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; He is called the God of all the earth. Luke 6:45 The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks. Isaiah 26:12-15 AMP Lord, You will ordain peace (God's favor and blessings, both temporal and spiritual) for us, for You have also wrought in us and for us all our works. O Lord, our God we will acknowledge and mention Your name only. They [the former tyrant masters] are dead, they shall not live and reappear; they are powerless ghosts, they shall not rise and come back. Therefore You have visited and made an end of them and caused every memory of them [every trace of their supremacy] to perish. You have increased the nation, O Lord; You have increased the nation. You are glorified; You have enlarged all the borders of the land.

FRIDAY 1 John 3:1 AMP SEE WHAT [an incredible] quality of love the Father has given (shown, bestowed on) us, that we should [be permitted to] be named and called and counted the children of God! And so we are! The reason that the world does not know (recognize, acknowledge) us is that it does not know (recognize, acknowledge) Him. Jeremiah 17:7-8 But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in Him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit. Psalms 139:13-14, 17 For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well How precious to me are Your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! Habakkuk 3:17-18 Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior. 1 Chronicles 17:16-17 Then King David went in and sat before the LORD, and he said: "Who am I, O LORD God, and what is my family, that You have brought me this far? And as if this were not enough in Your sight, O God, You have spoken about the future of the house of Your servant. You have looked on me as though I were the most exalted of men, O LORD God. Romans 15:5-7 May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God. Psalms 91:2 I will say of the LORD, "He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God, in Whom I trust." Psalms 56:4 In God, whose Word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me? Romans 8:32 He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all--how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things?

SATURDAY Psalms 36:7 How priceless is Your unfailing love! Both high and low among men find refuge in the shadow of Your wings. Isaiah 61:7-9 Instead of their shame My people will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace they will rejoice in their inheritance; and so they will inherit a double portion in their land, and everlasting joy will be theirs In My faithfulness I will reward them and make an everlasting covenant with them. Their descendants will be known among the nations and their offspring among the peoples. All who see them will acknowledge that they are a people the LORD has blessed. Psalms 44:8 In God we make our boast all day long, and we will praise Your name forever. Selah (pause and calmly think about that). Romans 15:13 NIV May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Isaiah 32:18-20 My people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest. Though hail flattens the forest and the city is leveled completely, how blessed you will be, sowing your seed by every stream, and letting your cattle and donkeys range free. Ephesians 4:32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. Proverbs 18:20-21 From the fruit of his mouth a man's stomach is filled; with the harvest from his lips he is satisfied. The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit. 2 Chronicles 20:17 You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the LORD will give you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the LORD will be with you. 2 Chronicles 20:12 O our God, will You not judge them? For we have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are upon You.
