Once Saved always saved? Intro Song: "My God" by Out of Darkness Intro Prayer: For an end to abortion for unity of all believers in the ONE Church christ founded for conversion of sinners for the poor souls in purgatory! for Bishop's, Priest's, and deacons may they serve Christ & be effective witnesses to the glory of God and his Kingdom Hail Mary. So ARE YOU SAVED? Do you have an assurance of Salvation? Eternal security? Is it possible to accept the sacrifice Jesus has FREELY given and NEVER worry about weather or not we will go to heaven? NO!!!! Some protestant groups will say otherwise though CCC: 1996 Our justification comes from the grace of God. Grace is favor, the free and undeserved help that God gives us to respond to his call to become children of God, adoptive sons, partakers of the divine nature and of eternal life. Steming from the protestant revolt martin luther

adopted this false doctrine: "No sin will separate us from the lamb, even though we commit fornication and murder a thousand times a day." A string of verses: John 3: [3] Jesus answered him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born anew, he cannot see the kingdom of God." [16] For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God sent the Son into the world, not to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him. [18] He who believes in him is not condemned; he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. Romans 8: [1] There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. [31] What then shall we say to this? If God is for us, who is against us? [32] He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, will he not also give us all things with him? [33] Who shall bring any charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies; [34] who is to condemn? Is it Christ Jesus, who died, yes, who was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who indeed intercedes for us? [35] Who shall separate

us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? [36] As it is written, "For thy sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered." [37] No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. [38] For I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, [39] nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. St. Luke 8: [42] As he went, the people pressed round him. [43] And a woman who had had a flow of blood for twelve years and could not be healed by any one, [44] came up behind him, and touched the fringe of his garment; and immediately her flow of blood ceased. [45] And Jesus said, "Who was it that touched me?" When all denied it, Peter said, "Master, the multitudes surround you and press upon you!" [46] But Jesus said, "Some one touched me; for I perceive that power has gone forth from me." [47] And when the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling, and falling down before him declared in the presence of all the people why she had touched him, and how she had been immediately healed. [48] And

he said to her, "Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace." Or Healing of the Blind Man : St. Mark 10:[52] And Jesus said to him, "Go your way; your faith has made you well." And immediately he received his sight and followed him on the way. It would seem that we CAN have a Once For All, assurance of our salvation! or can we? The Common sense factor: Adam & Eve Both were created in the state of God's abiding Grace a FREE gift that neither did anything to earn! Both FELL from that Grace, were cast OUT of God's presence, denied the FRUIT of the TREE of LIFE! There is NO once saved always saved for Adam & Eve - thanks to them we all are born with a concupiscent nature! Romans 11 The Prodigal Son The Son was living in his Father's house, a state of his Father's Grace, and FELL away... He was welcomed back, and forgiven BUT only upon his repentance! Luke 15: [32] It was fitting to make merry and be glad, for this your brother was dead, and is alive; he was lost, and is found.'" There is NO once saved always saved for the prodigal son! Faith/Works: The Perfect Father!

Matthew 7: [11] If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him! What Father, worth HIS salt would allow HIS children to be lazy? They belong to the family BUT they are expected to to work for the sake of the family! NOT enough for a son to "believe" in His Father he MUST also obey His Father! St. John 14:[15] "If you love me, you will keep my commandments. Do the scriptures teach one could LOOSE their salvation? Well How do we pray? St. Matthew 6:[12] And forgive us our debts, As we also have forgiven our debtors; Question IF we are OSAS THEN why do we pray this? What if I NEVER forgive someone who murders a loved one? Yet I accepted Jesus as Lord & Savior will I NOT be saved? Jesus tells us that we MUST forgive or we WON'T be forgiven ourselves! Verse[15] but if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Is faith a ONE time issue? St. Matthew 10:21] Brother will deliver up brother to death, and the father his child, and children will rise against parents and have them put to death; [22]

and you will be hated by all for my name's sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved. Question IF we are OSAS THEN why does our Lord tell us explicitly that we MUST endure until then end? What if we don't endure? What if we, as Martin Luther stated " Commit fornication and murder a thousand times a day."? Won't we still inherit the Kingdom of God? 1 Cor. 6:[9] Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither the immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor sexual perverts, [10] nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor robbers will inherit the kingdom of God. Question Surely St. Paul, who wrote Romans 8, believes in OSAS right? Philippians 2:[12] Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; [13] for God is at work in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. 1 Cor. 9:[26] Well, I do not run aimlessly, I do not box as one beating the air; [27] but I pommel my body and subdue it, lest after preaching to others I myself should be

disqualified. 1 Cor. 10:[12] Therefore let any one who thinks that he stands take heed lest he fall. 2Tim. 2:[10] Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain salvation in Christ Jesus with its eternal glory. [11] The saying is sure: If we have died with him, we shall also live with him;[12] if we endure, we shall also reign with him; if we deny him, he also will deny us; [13] if we are faithless, he remains faithful --for he cannot deny himself. Nothing can separate us from the LOVE of God its God who is faithful the rest of us not so much! We separate ourselves from Him through mortal sin! (CF 1 Jn 5:16-17) 2 Tim 4:[5] As for you, always be steady, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. [6] For I am already on the point of being sacrificed; the time of my departure has come. [7] I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. [8] Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing. Ok but what about St. Peter & the others? 2 Peter 2:[20] For if, after they have escaped

the defilements of the world through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overpowered, the last state has become worse for them than the first. [21] For it would have been better for them never to have known the way of righteousness than after knowing it to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them. [22] It has happened to them according to the true proverb, The dog turns back to his own vomit, and the sow is washed only to wallow in the mire. 1 John 2:[24] Let what you heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then you will abide in the Son and in the Father. [25] And this is what he has promised us, eternal life. 2 Peter 3:[14] Therefore, beloved, since you wait for these, be zealous to be found by him without spot or blemish, and at peace. [15] And count the forbearance of our Lord as salvation. So also our beloved brother Paul wrote to you according to the wisdom given him, [16] speaking of this as he does in all his letters. There are some things in them hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other scriptures. [17] You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, beware lest you be carried away with the error of lawless men and

lose your own stability. Salvation is work! But a work with eternal rewards! Do not be caught sleeping when the Master returns Mark 13:35 Or with out the oil when the Groom arrives Matthew 25:1-13 Or not having invested the Masters Grace Matthew 25:26-29 or NOT having had charity on the least of HIS Matthew 25:41-46 NOT everyone who professes the name of Jesus will enter into the Kingdom of God St. Matthew 7:[21] "Not every one who says to me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. [22] On that day many will say to me, `Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?' [23] And then will I declare to them, `I never knew you; depart from me, you evildoers.' Do these verses contradict themselves? No WHY? Because through faith we are adopted into God's family where we take his name, live in his house, eat at his table, confide in him, are reconciled to him, and live within his Kingdom we are Son's coheir's a FAMILY! As such we WORK for the sake of the kingdom and abide him its when we stop abiding that we are branches which are cut off failing to produce

fruit and thrown into the fire! Look at how the woman's ACTION's her LOVE played a role WITH her Faith: St. Luke 7: [36] One of the Pharisees asked him to eat with him, and he went into the Pharisee's house, and took his place at table. [37] And behold, a woman of the city, who was a sinner, when she learned that he was at table in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster flask of ointment, [38] and standing behind him at his feet, weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment. [39] Now when the Pharisee who had invited him saw it, he said to himself, "If this man were a prophet, he would have known who and what sort of woman this is who is touching him, for she is a sinner." [40] And Jesus answering said to him, "Simon, I have something to say to you." And he answered, "What is it, Teacher?" [41] "A certain creditor had two debtors; one owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty. [42] When they could not pay, he forgave them both. Now which of them will love him more?" [43] Simon answered, "The one, I suppose, to whom he forgave more." And he said to him, "You have judged rightly." [44] Then turning toward the woman he said to Simon, "Do you see this woman? I entered your house, you gave me no water for my feet, but she has wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair.

[45] You gave me no kiss, but from the time I came in she has not ceased to kiss my feet. [46] You did not anoint my head with oil, but she has anointed my feet with ointment. [47] Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much; but he who is forgiven little, loves little." [48] And he said to her, "Your sins are forgiven." [49] Then those who were at table with him began to say among themselves, "Who is this, who even forgives sins?" [50] And he said to the woman, "Your faith has saved you; go in peace."
