James 4:3 (ESV) You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions. What are your motives for prayer? Why are you praying that prayer? Will God get the glory if the prayer is answered? Is the prayer in God s will for you? Hebrews 4:16 (ESV) Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Are you willing to go to God in your time of need? Do you expect to receive an answer to your prayers? Are you willing to accept the answer you receive from God as what is best for you? Do you hesitate to pray because you feel that God does not love you? 6
