We are committed to seeking God s will for EHBC. First and foremost, we are seeking God s will and we know only within His will is where we find our new pastor. Isaiah 55:8-9 (Rick Lance) We are committed to confidentiality and unity in everything. This is a very key component of the search process. There will be certain information that we will share and some information we cannot. The committee will have to communicate openly and honestly with each other and with the prospective pastoral candidate. A kept commitment of confidentially permits such honest communication. This is to protect morale and our reputation as a church. It also protects the next pastors reputation. Each of your committee members have agreed to such confidentiality. Romans 15:13 (Larry Hyche) We are committed to a process. Your committee has met four times. The first meeting we met to get to know each other better and to spend time in prayer. Spiritual unity is very important. The second meeting we met to pray and elect officers. The third meeting was very beneficial for us. We were trained by a representative from the Alabama State Board of Missions on proven processes and procedures. We feel like we have great resources from the state board as well as other resources also. The fourth meeting we met to put together the following survey and other important items. Proverbs 3:5-6 (Dale Huff) We are committed to a profile. We need each of you to pray for God to direct us and to show us His perfect will. We are sure He is already preparing the right man for us. A survey is included in this publication. Also, there will be surveys to be distributed during the Sunday School hour over the next two week period. You may contact the church office to obtain a copy of the survey if you are unable to attend Sunday School. You will want to be in attendance to provide us with your guidance as a church. 1 Timothy 3:1-7 If you would like a specific candidate be considered, please arrange for them to provide a resume. You can hand deliver it for them or they may send it to pastorsearch@ehbconline.com. The members of the search committee have been strongly encouraged not to reach out to anyone to ask them to provide a resume. This is considered a first contact which may not be the right timing. We are committed to persistence and perseverance. We are committed to patience. We know that God has a plan and we will seek His guidance to provide His man in His time. Jeremiah 3:15 We are committed to prayer. Please pray every day for your committee and for your new pastor.
