THE FATHER S LOVE See how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we would be called children of God; and such we are. For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. (1 John 3:1)

II. THE MEASURE AND MANNER OF THE FATHER S LOVE...how great a love the Father has...
A. THE MEASURE OF THE FATHER S LOVE IS SEEN IN CHRIST For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. (John 3:16)
B. THE MANNER OF THE FATHER S LOVE FOR HIS CHILDREN IS ETERNAL The LORD appeared to him from afar, saying, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore I have drawn you with lovingkindness. (Jeremiah 31:3)
1. God s eternal love for us existed before we were even born Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, And before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet to the nations. (Jeremiah 1:5)
2. God s eternal love for us is like an ocean He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:4)
3. God s eternal love for us remains faithful I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you, (Hebrews 13:5)
Can a woman forget her nursing child And have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, but I will not forget you. (Isaiah 49:15)

C. THE MANNER OF THE FATHER S LOVE FOR HIS CHILDREN IS ACTIVE A. His Continual Mercies Upon His Children Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burden, The God who is our salvation. Selah. (Psalm 68:19)
B. Administers Discipline to Us As Sons For whom the LORD loves He reproves, Even as a father corrects the son in whom he delights. (Proverbs 3:12)
C. Working out all things for our good and to His glory And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28)
III. THE BESTOWMENT OF THE FATHER S LOVE...has bestowed on us... God s love is purely a gift.
IV. THE TRANSFORMATION OF THE FATHER S LOVE.that we would be called children of God; and such we are. **2 WONDERS
A. The Wonder of Being Called Children of God.. that we would be called children of God Who calls us so?
The Father Himself! 16. we are the temple of the living God I will dwell in them and walk among them; And I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 18 And I will be a father to you, And you shall be sons and daughters to Me, Says the Lord Almighty. (2 Corinthians 6:16 &18)
Jesus Himself!,,,,,for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, I ascend to My Father and your Father, and My God and your God. (John 20:17)
The Holy Spirit! you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, Abba! Father! 16 The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him. (Romans 8:15-17)

V. THE DISTINCTION OF THE FATHER S LOVE.For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.
Do you know Jesus? But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. (John 1:12-13)
