LESSON 1 NET KIDS SCRIPT (For Introducing the Bible Story, Lesson 1) Darren, how can you thank God for something that hasn t even happened yet? Darren: Ivan, how can you not? I don t understand. Ivan, once when my dad was a student away from home, he hardly had enough money for food. He didn t eat a couple of meals. He must have been starving! Almost. Then his classmates told him that the food was included in the rent. It had been paid for before he left home! All he had to do was pray and eat! Hello. Hey, Tendai. Darren: G day, Ten. We were talking about thanking God for things that haven t happened yet. I see. Well, we don t do anything to deserve God s blessings, and yet He cares for us. He has a solution for even our future needs. We couldn t do anything about THAT. All we can do is be thankful and praise God together. Darren: Well, it s nice to say thank you for the gifts we enjoy. Yeah, and when we re having problems with something, we can thank God for already having a solution available. Indeed, God provides for our needs and does all the work to change us and to save us. We just have to allow Him to come into our lives. Thanks, guys. Darren: Speaking of the blessings we freely enjoy, my mother just called me to dinner. Talk to you later. Bye, Darren. 145 PPLTG_text_B4_2017.indd 145

LESSON 8 NET KIDS SCRIPT (For Introducing the Bible Story, Lesson 8) Ana, some people from your country are coming here this week. What for? What did you do? Just acted as their gopher! I would go for this and go for that!... [laugh] To help us build some churches. That s great, Ivan. We ve had people come here to Zimbabwe to do the same thing. Ivan, how long will they stay? I m really not sure, maybe about six weeks. Wow... that s a long time away from home. Do they get paid? Not at all! They even pay their own airfares. My mother said many use their vacation time to build these churches. I d like to help the group coming to Russia. H mmm... Do women come too? Sure. All the time. Maybe someday I ll come help in Zimbabwe! Or Russia! Until then I d better build up my own church by being faithful with my junior deaconess job! Yes, I d better sign off. I promised to fold bulletins for this week s service. I guess there are lots of ways to build up the church. I helped the people last time. That was fun! 147 PPLTG_text_B4_2017.indd 147
LESSON 9 NET KIDS SCRIPT (For Introducing the Bible Story, Lesson 9) Hello. Do I still have friends here? Of course! Emiko. You sound a little sad today. It s been a very bad day for me. What happened, Emiko? I received top prize for my science project on ocean pollution. That s dreadful! We know you did it. Yeah, you even asked us about good Web sites for researching it. And Darren got us all to chat with the oceanographer in New Zealand. I know, but even the teacher questioned me. And some of the other girls won t even talk to me today. But that s good, Emiko. We believe you, Em. So what went wrong? One of the other girls in the class told everyone my mother had done it all for me. She said I cheated. We know you are an honest person. Hey, maybe you could give your teacher the transcript of our chat. Good idea! Thanks, guys. 148 PPLTG_text_B4_2017.indd 148
LESSON 13 The Plan of Salvation (For Experiencing the Story, Lesson 13) Sorrow filled heaven, as it was realized that [men and women were] lost, and that world which God had created was to be filled with mortals doomed to misery, sickness, and death, and there was no way of escape for the offender. The whole family of Adam must die. I saw the lovely Jesus and beheld an expression of sympathy and sorrow upon His countenance. Soon I saw Him approach the exceeding bright light which enshrouded the Father. Said my accompanying angel, He is in close converse with His Father. The anxiety of the angels seemed to be intense while Jesus was communing with His Father. Three times He was shut in by the glorious light about the Father, and the third time He came from the Father, His person could be seen. His countenance was calm, free from all perplexity and doubt, and shone with benevolence and loveliness, such as words cannot express. He then made known to the angelic host that a way of escape had been made for lost [men and women].... At first the angels could not rejoice; for their Commander concealed nothing from them, but opened before them the plan of salvation (Early Writings, pp. 149, 150). Jesus shared with them everything that would happen to Him. How He would be born as a human baby, go through everything that human beings had to go through, and finally die for them. The angels offered to go in His place, but Jesus told them that only He could do this. But the work of the angels was assigned them, to ascend and descend with strengthening balm from glory to soothe the Son of God in His sufferings, and minister unto Him. Also, their work would be to guard and keep the subjects of grace from the evil angels and the darkness constantly thrown around them by Satan (Early Writings, p. 152). Then joy, inexpressible joy, filled heaven. And the heavenly host sang a song of praise and adoration. They touched their harps and sang a note higher than they had done before, for the great mercy and condescension of God in yielding up His dearly Beloved to die for a race of rebels (Early Writings, p. 151). 149 PPLTG_text_B4_2017.indd 149
