Dinner and overnight stay at the Jetwing Sea DAY 02 NGEOMBO ANURADHAPURA (APPROX: 5 HRS) PALM GARDEN VILLAGE After breakfast check out and leave to Sri Lankan ancient capital of Anuradhapura- En route visit to see the Yapahuwa ruins which is a royal residence in 13th century Yapahuwa was able to preserve some interesting remains. DAY 03 ANURADHAPURA PALM GARDEN VILLAGE After breakfast make a city tour to visit the ancient city of Anuradhapura, the first capital of Sri Lanka founded in the 4th century BC. See the sacred Bo Tree, the oldest historically documented tree in the world, Abayagiri monastery, which housed 5,000 monks and Jetavana Stupa, the tallest stupa in the world. Afternoon visit the Mihintale rock, which is known as the cradle of Buddhism in Sri Lanka Dinner and overnight stay at the Palm garden Village DAY 04 ANURADHAPURA - POLONNARUWA (APPROX: 2 HRS) GIRITALE HOTEL After breakfast check out and leave to Sri Lankan 2 nd ancient capital of Polonnaruwa Thereafter, city tour of Polonnaruwa. Dinner and overnight stay at the Giritale Hotel DAY 05 POLONNARUWA DAMBULLA (APPROX: 2 HRS) THILANKA RESORT & SPA Following breakfast head out towards Dambulla. On the way visit Sigiriya rock fortress which means Lion s rock, is an ancient fortress made of rock in the Matale district of Sri Lanka. The fortress is surrounded by the remains of an extensive network of gardens and other structures. The place is part of the list of UNESCO World Heritage sites and is preserved due to its significance in illustrating architecture and culture of the civilization during the time it was built After visit Dambulla rock temple, the largest cave monastery in the country with a history going back to the 1 st century BC.. Being one of the largest cave shrines of South Asia, the five caves cover more than 2000sq. meters of paintings of the late medieval style popularly known as Kandyan art. The exhausting hill climb of the visitors will be richly rewarded by a visit to the newly established Museum of Paintings. DAY 06 DAMBULLA - KANDY (APPROX: 3 HRS) RANDHOLEE LUXURY RESORT After having breakfast leave to the Sri Lanka s hill capital- lake side city of Kandy. On the way visit Matale spice Garden. Having visited to Kandy you will be taken to Peradeniya royal Botanical garden evening make a short city tour to look Upper Lake, Kandy Lake, Spice Garden and Kandy bazaar and you will be able to see the culture dance performance Dinner and overnight stay at the Randholee Luxury Resort DAY 07 KANDY NUWARA ELIYA (APPROX: 2 HRS) JETWING ST. ANDREWS Following day after breakfast, visit temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha This is the most sacred temple to the Buddhists in the world after you will be taken to the train station at Peradeniya where you will board on one of the most scenic train rides in the country. DAY 08 NUWARA ELIYA GALLE VIA KITULGALA (APPROX: 7 HRS) JETWING LIGHTHOUSE After breakfast at hotel drive to Galle travel through a beautiful landscape & see the widest waterfall of Sri Lanka, St.Clair. Enjoy the rich nature. Make a brief stop at the Tea Kiosk passing the Devon waterfall. Drive through Kitulgala where the Oscar winning movie Bridge on the River Kwai was filmed.
