But now we must celebrate and rejoice, because your brother was dead and has come to life again; he was lost and has been found.'" - Lk 15:31-32 1 Please remember to adjust your clocks one hour ahead this Saturday so you won t miss Mass on Sunday. REMINDER If there is a delay or cancellation at the Hudson Public Schools due to inclement weather, the daily Mass here is also canceled.

Last Sunday morning at the 10:30 a.m. Mass in the chapel, we had a beautiful and moving dedication and blessing of the new altar, ambo and Liturgical furniture. I had planned it two weeks before but the snowy Sundays kept delaying it until it fell on March 3, which happened to be my mother s birthday. A special thanks to the adult choir, John, Sally and to Bill Cabral for adding his clarinet to the celebration. It was a memorable morning. Later that afternoon, a group of parishioners gathered in the kitchen in the parish center to make Easter candles for all our homebound parishioners. Members of the men s club and their families headed it up while members of our youth group with Mary Ellen Bartlett (their present advisor) and Brian Sousa (assistant) had a great time chopping up candle pieces that become the basis for the melted paraffin which is poured over them to complete the process. The candles are then packaged and delivered to the homebound along with their Easter Lilies. It is all made possible by your generous support of the collection for Easter flowers each year. Finally, this afternoon (Sunday) at 4:00 p.m. we will have our annual Lenten Penance Service in the upper church. We have four Priests coming for individual confessions at the conclusion of the service and one of the Priests will hear confessions in Portuguese. This is a wonderful way to celebrate the Lenten Season. Why not take some time aside and experience God s mercy and forgiveness? HUDSON, MA FR. CHILDREN ACT FAST.SO DOES POISONS AND POISONING SPANS A LIFETIME. Here are some Poison Prevention Tips for you to be aware of: 1. Store medicines and household products in their original containers and where children cannot see or reach them. 2. Use child-resistant packaging and replace the caps tightly. 3. Store household products in a different place from food and medicine. 4. Keep purses and briefcases out of children s reach, especially if you carry medicines in them. 5. When taking or giving medicine read the label beforehand. Only use medicine as directed by your doctor or the label. Call medicine by its proper name, not candy. Take your medicine in a place where children cannot watch they learn by imitating adults. 6. Use household products according to label directions. Mixing household products can cause dangerous gases to form. 7. Keep house plants out of children s each. Even if the plants are not poisonous, they might cause choking. 8. To prevent carbon monoxide poisoning keep appliances, furnaces, fireplaces and wood-burning stoves in good repair. Install a carbon monoxide alarm in your home and replace batteries twice a year. 9. When answering the phone or the door take open products OR YOUR CHILDREN with you. Many incidents happen when adults are distracted, even for only a few moments. 10. Put the poison center number 1-800-222-1222 on or near your phone. This national toll-free number works from anyplace in the U.S. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Calls are free and confidential and translation services are available in over 150 languages. 11. Be sure that EVERY home where your children spend time is poison-proofed. Poisonings have happened when youngsters have visited homes where no children live, when they find medicine containers left in purses or on bedside tables and when older persons have carried medicines into THEIR homes. For further information go to www.poisonprevention.org

Sunday Throughout the Week: FOURTH SUNDAY OF LENT SHARING THE GOSPEL Imagine that your father gave you and your brother $10. You saved yours. But when it was time to put the money in the bank, your brother told your father, "I'm sorry. I wasted my money on candy bars." Your father forgave him and gave him another $10. You felt hurt and asked him why. He said, "I love you both. Your brother has learned his lesson. I am happy." PRAYER Lord, help me take good care of my money and my soul. SOMETHING TO DRAW Draw yourself and your brother saving your coins in a piggy bank. MISSION FOR THE WEEK I will save a quarter, spend a quarter, and share a quarter.
