Name: Period: The Ultimate Gift: Reflection Essay Please answer the following questions in an essay totaling a minimum of 2 pages typed in length. Your paper must be 12 font, Times New Roman and double spaced with normal margins. You must include 2 quotes from the movie. It can be one comprehensive paper or you can answer them in 1 or multiple paragraphs each. Be COMPLETE! 1. Start by writing a summary of the film explaining who Jason is, his character, and why he is receiving gifts throughout the movie. 2. The first gift was of hard work. Explain how Jason was able to earn that gift. Did he get it right away? How did you finally know that he had earned it? Why is it important that we learn the value of hard work? How does the lesson of hard work relate to real life? 3. The second was the gift of friendship. What do you feel that it means to be a true-friend? How did Jason show that he was a true friend and how did the little girl show him that she was his true friend? On a personal note, who is one of your true friends and how do you know? 4. The third was the gift of money. What did Jason learn about money? What lesson did he get about family that came along with this gift? (Think about Thanksgiving dinner) What value do you think money SHOULD have in our lives? 5. What do you believe that this movie was explaining to be the Ultimate Gift? Did Jason discover and/or earn that gift? After you explain about Jason, explain how the Ultimate Gift is important in your own life? How do you express it in your daily decision making or in your life in general? 6. What was the most valuable thing that you learned or realized through watching this film? Do you believe that our society actively promotes earning these life gifts? How can you as an individual help to spread these gifts? Give at least 3 examples.
