Prophecy 101: Regarding the Incarnation of Jesus I. Prophecy is history written in advance Isaiah 46:9-10 9 "Remember the former things long past, For I am God, and there is no other ; I am God, and there is no one like Me, 10 Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things which have not been done, Saying, 'My purpose will be established, And I will accomplish all My good pleasure '; II. Prophecy is reliable. More than Peter's eyewitness testimony 2 Peter 1:16-21 16 For we did not follow cleverly devised tales when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of His majesty. 17 For when He received honor and glory from God the Father, such an utterance as this was made to Him by the Majestic Glory, "This is My beloved Son with whom I am well-pleased "- 18 and we ourselves heard this utterance made from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain. 19 So we have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts. 20 But know this frst of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one's own interpretation, 21 for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God. III. Jesus holds us accountable for knowing our prophetic scriptures Luke 19:41-44 41 When He approached Jerusalem, He saw the city and wept over it, 42 saying, "If you had known in this day, even you, the things which make for peace! But now they have been hidden from your eyes. 43 "For the days will come upon you when your enemies will throw up a barricade against you, and surround you and hem you in on every side, 44 and they will level you to the ground and your children within you, and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not recognize the time of your visitation." XII. State of Texas and silver dollars Remember there are over 300 of them! XIII. What about 16? (10 28 x 10 28 )/10 11 = 10 56 /10 11 = 10 45 Page 4/5
XIV. What about 48? ( 10 28 x 10 28 x 10 28 x 10 28 x10 28 x 10 28 ) = 10 168 10 168 /10 11 = 10 157 This number is far greater than the total number of atoms in the universe.
