INTRODUCTION TO QUR AN CIT Y Rabb! Build for me a house with You in Janna 66:12 The Qur an encourages investment in real estate in Janna. It is with this encouragement that we decided to teach the structure of the Qur an through building a city with bricks. The word sur means an enclosure also referring to the defensive wall built around a city. With 114 buildings, Qur an City is divided into 14 quadrants which circle Muhammad City Centre and has a road network called M14* that links all the quadrants with each other. The heights of the buildings represent the number of ayaat of the suwer and can be distinguished as Makki or Madani through their roof tops Yellow for Makki and Green for Madani. There are 86 Makki buildings and 28 Madani buildings. *Representing the 14 Ma sumeen who are the necessary guidance to navigate Qur an City. Join us in our quest of discovering the awesomeness of the Qur an through Qur an City The placement of the buildings in the quadrants are based on the names and/or opening of the suwer. The 14 quadrants which circle MUHAMMAD CITY CENTRE are: 1. BOOK CLOSE 2. HAAMIDAAT PLACE 3. MUSABBIHAAT PLACE 4. HURUFUL MUQATTIAAT AREA WHICH IS SUB DIVIDED INTO: a. SINGLES CLOSE b. On its side we have placed Suratul Hujurat (49) which related to the living quarters of the Prophet (pbuh). In close proximity is Suratul Dahr/Insan (76) which focuses around the charity of the house of Fatima & Ali pbut. In Madina their house was the only one besides the Prophet s whose door opened into the mosque. Near this is Suratul Kawthar (108) revealed in reference to Sayyida Fatima pbuh and her progeny when the Quraysh called the Prophet abtar one without progeny after his son died. As this centre revolves around the Prophet pbuh we have placed Suratu Taha (20) and Suratu Yaseen (36) in the city centre too. Both these are titles given to the Prophet pbuh and are placed near the edge of Muhammad City Centre crossing into the Huruful Muqatta at Area. Suratu Yaseen (36) is also known as the heart of the Qur an. 6 Qur an City
