Five of us are Bethany members, therefore our ministry is currently serving 20 additional moms in our community. Some belong to other churches, and some have no home church. See Heather Scrima, Kathryn Martinec, Courtney Ramous, or Melanie Bedner to learn more about our group, and follow us on Instagram @bethanymops. Many thanks to our wonderful Mentor Moms-- Mandy Evans, Becky Yanak, and Caroline Poiche. Also, our meetings wouldn't be possible without the support of our generous childcare volunteers, including Nikki O'Brien and Valerie Bartels. Help us meet the needs of moms in our community by giving 2-4 hours per month to play with our kids. See one of the Steering Team members above, or email mops@bethanypresby.org to volunteer. Thanks!

Now More Than Ever Our Youth Need You! And it's Fun! In light of the recent departure of our youth director, we need leaders to step forward to invest in the lives of our junior and senior high students. There is a core group of experienced leaders already in place. In order to care well for our youth and even better to point them to Jesus, we need you as well! You don't have to have experience. You don't have to be an expert in the Bible. You don't have to have a perfect relationship with God, just a willingness to be available, listen well, and share what you do have - a relationship with God that is in progress. If God is nudging you to consider being a part of this fun and vital ministry, contact Pastor Robbie at 412-221-5132 or robbie@bethanypresby.org Bethany has a large variety of script cards which now includes cards for Shop N Save. Stop by the script table after either service to see what is available. You may also purchase these cards during the week when the office is open. This is an easy way to help support Bethany s many missions. There are still boxes available for Operation Christmas Box! Please see the table in the Welcome Center for your box, instructions and forms. Thank you. PIZZA and a Movie! November 11, 2016 at 6:30 PM Bethany Evangelism Team is presenting the movie God is not Dead 2, a powerful call to action. When a high school history teacher is asked a question about Jesus in class she ends up in an ensuing epic court case. Where will you stand? Come for pizza and fellowship, followed by the movie. Please call the church office by Nov 9 with your reservation (so we can order enough pizza) or sign up on the sign-up sheet (including number of children) in the Welcome Center in the Narthex. Babysitting provided. All are welcome!

Diabetes Supplies for Africa: Rev. Dave Carver, from the Pittsburgh Presbytery is travelling to Malawi on Christmas Day. I am collecting unwanted, unused, not expired diabetes supplies for him to carry. It has been a difficult few years in Malawi due to famine and flood, and diabetes supplies are needed. If you have, or know someone who might have extra insulin, strips, meters, syringes, lancets, or glucose tablets please bring them in to the welcome center for Jean Roemer or call me for pick-up at 412 951-6451. Food Bank Angel Tree: It s that time again when lovingly with the heart of Jesus, we purchase a gift for a child of a Food Bank recipient. Please take an Angel from the tree, sign the sheet, purchase a gift and return it to our church no later than Sunday, December 11 th. PLEASE DO NOT WRAP THE GIFT. You may include the wrapping paper. Thank you. On this week of Veterans Day, November 11, please give thanks for those who have served our country in the military and for those who serve now.

A Prayer Before the Elections O God, Ruler of all nations: as we approach these elections, we acknowledge our need for You. God, grant us compassion, that we would seek the common good over self-interest. Grant us commitment, that we would express our compassion through voting. God, grant us wisdom, that we would discern what is right. Grant us courage, that we would do what is right. God, grant us gratitude, that we would see how blessed we are as a nation. Grant us humility, that we would not confuse our nation with You, and our limited judgment with Your perfect will. God grant us confidence, that we would view the election not with cynicism or bitterness, but with hope. And God, may that hope be in You. As our nation once declared its independence, we now declare our dependence on You, O God, our strength and our hope.
