Hal H. Hopson Chancel Choir Saw you never, in the twilight, When the sun had left the skies, Up in heav n the clear stars shining Through the gloom, like silver eyes? So of old the wise men, watching, Saw a little stranger star, And they knew the King was given, And they followed it from far. Heard you never of that story How they crossed the desert wild, Journey d on by plain and mountain, Til they found the holy Child? How they open d all their treasure, Kneeling to that infant King; Gave the gold and fragrant incense, Gave the myrrh in offering? Know you not that lowly baby

If you are not gluten-intolerant, we ask you to please receive the bread. Was the bright and Morning Star? He who came to light the Gentiles, And the darkened isles afar? A new small group called Paths of Grace is forming this spring for 8 weeks starting January 7. This is a great second step for new members after joining the church. We want existing members to join, too, and meet our new folks and walk with them as we all deepen our life of faith here at Wesley Memorial. We will meet at 6:30pm on Wednesday evenings and study Jim Harnish s A Disciple s Path, exploring discipleship and our membership vows of prayers, presents, gifts, service, and witness. Contact Jared Stine at 812-4813 or jstine@wesleymemorial.org to be a seed and friend to new members. New six week revival study will be offered on mondays & wednesdays Beginning this week Have you ever wondered about how Methodism came to be? About our founder? About what makes our denomination different from the rest? In Revival, Adam Hamilton leads us into the mind of John Wesley, the founder of Methodism. His life, his doubts, his faith, and the theology that led to the creation of what we now know as the United Methodist Church will all be covered in this 6-week study. Come and discover what our founder believed, and how he hoped it would shape our lives today! There are three time options Monday mornings at 9:15 am, Wednesdays at noon (Bible Study Lunch) and Wednesday nights at 6:30 pm. The study will run January 5 and 7 through February 9 and 11. Women of wesley (WOW) Bible Study starts Thursday, january 22 Attention, Women of Wesley Memorial UMC! A new Bible study called Breathe, by Priscilla Shirer, is coming Thursday mornings 9:30-11:00 am, beginning January 22, 2015. We are in bondage to busyness. We constantly strive to complete the limitless to-do lists that hinder us from experiencing all that God has for us. We miss the moments because we rush ahead to the next thing. It is time for us to breathe and build margin into our lives for God. Sabbath was intended as a gift and it is still a gift to us today. If you are weary, worn out, and exhausted the concept of Sabbath will change your life.
