In particular, this worksheet exercise is to: Bring awareness to what your mind has previously been absorbing Bring awareness to what your mind needs from you day to day now Guide you to create a list of all the new beliefs you want to wire your mind to accept as truth, so that next week we can begin the process of embedding these. Listen to the Week 3 Mind Mastery Audio every day until you receive next week s training. The more you absorb the content the better. Your mind absorbs, and begins to align to, whatever you feed it repetitively and consistently. Pinch Me Living 3
(1) AWARENESS OF WHAT YOUR MIND HAS BEEN ABSORBING & FEEDING ON Your mind absorbs what it is exposed to repetitively, consistently or with emotional intensity/conviction. To be the leader of your mind, means being a guardian of what your mind receives and takes onboard, and to be the interruptor of unhelpful things your mind accidentally feeds on. You have already done a stocktake of your limiting beliefs accumulated over your lifetime to date, and now you can simply reflect on what your mind has been receiving, absorbing, conjuring up and feeding on in your daily life that isn t helpful (that has either given momentum to those limiting beliefs or at the very least has perpetuated them). This is an awareness exercise only, just to pause and consider, to help you see objectively where you currently stand and what is going on within your mind right now. What kinds of external content have you been absorbing/feeding your mind? (e.g. conversations, news, information, social media, entertainment) What you have been imagining and visualising in your mind, either consciously or by default (NOTE - the pictures you have in your mind are powerful, whether they are static images or active images with sound and movement like mind movies. Please pay attention to what pictures recur in your mind). For example: Pinch Me Living 4
o what negative memories about your past flash up o what unhelpful pictures do you have in your mind about your current circumstances, money, work, relationships, your body/health, and so on (simply think of the topic or challenge, close your eyes and notice what imagery your mind has associated with it and locked onto) o what unwanted or fearful imagery does your mind produce about the future e.g. what do you visualize, what scenarios run like a movie in your mind Pinch Me Living 5
What are the most common limiting things you have been saying to yourself on a daily basis? (e.g. self-talk and perspectives you take) What you have been focusing on that isn t helpful (what do you give your time, energy and attention to on a regular basis) Pinch Me Living 6
(2) CHOOSING WITH FREE WILL WHAT YOUR MIND WILL NOW ABSORB & FEED ON Now it is time to choose proactively, with full awareness and free will, what you want your mind to absorb. As the leader of your mind, you tell your mind what is true and what to do. You re going to tell your mind the truth of who you are, who you were born as, and the truth about other areas of life where you are ready to be free and empowered. (e.g. about work/career, money, relationships, health/body, love, goals, success). These truths, these powerful new beliefs, will replace the limiting beliefs you have accidentally picked up during your life to date. You are about to create a new paradigm that will make your old paradigm obsolete. The new beliefs you choose this week will become the solid foundation that you live from as the guiding force for what you consciously choose to let into your mind, what it absorbs and feeds on. (e.g. from next week onwards you will be choosing external content which supports the truth, choosing pictures (images or mind movies) in your head which support the truth, choosing self-talk which supports the truth, and choosing to give your time and energy to that which supports the truth). To begin creating your new paradigm, below is a list of healthy beliefs that every person needs to have a stable, accurate, well-rounded positive mindset to live from, reflective of who they really are. You will be leading your mind to accept these truths about yourself (next week we cover techniques for HOW to do this). For now, there is nothing more to do than acknowledge to yourself today that you wish to accept these beliefs as part of your new paradigm. I am the leader of my mind. I tell my mind what is true and what to do. Today I choose to lead my mind to accept the truth that Pinch Me Living 7
o I am good enough o I am enough o I am whole and complete o I am deserving o I am worthy o I am supported o I am safe o I am lovable o I am loved o I am connected o I belong o I am valid, valued and valuable Next, there is space on the following pages for you to write your own additional new healthy beliefs, to counter any limiting beliefs unique to you as identified in the Week 1 and Week 2 exercise worksheets. Please go back to those earlier worksheets now and see if you had listed any other significant limiting beliefs, and below rewrite those into positive truth statements. The simplest way to do this is what I call flip the statement. You say the opposite - positively and present tense. For example: o I am unacceptable/i don t accept myself can be flipped to I completely accept myself just as I am o I don t like/love myself can be flipped to I love myself just as I am Pinch Me Living 8
o I am unwanted can be flipped to I am wanted o I am stupid can be flipped to, I am smart or I am intelligent o I am rejected can be flipped to, I am accepted o Money is scarce can be flipped to Money is everywhere o There is never enough can be flipped to I always have enough o I m a failure can be flipped to I m a successful human being o Relationships are hard work can be flipped to Relationships are nourishing and enjoyable o I can t cope can be flipped to I am fully capable of coping and thriving o Change is bad can be flipped to Change is good and opens up new possibilities o I can t be helped, I ve tried and it never works can be flipped to I am helping myself, I am healing right now o People judge me and don t understand me can be flipped to I understand myself and accept myself just as I am o I am always stressed/i m a stressedful person can be flipped to I am calm and relaxed o There is never enough time can be flipped to There is more than enough time for what is important o I can never get everything done can be flipped to Even when there is a lot to do, I am calm and things gets done Pinch Me Living 9
o I m a procrastinator and never get anything done can be flipped to I choose to take action and feel great about it o o Good things never happen to me can be flipped to Good things happen to me I create and attract good things My body doesn t support me can be flipped to My body supports me Below write your new positive beliefs statements to counter every limiting belief you identified in the Week 1 and Week 2 worksheets.
