Rev. J. C. Pruitt, Pastor Emeritus, Honored In Service The Rev. J. C. Pruitt was honored November 10 during the eleven o'clock worship hour Hinshaw Street Baptist Church pastor emeritus. He was ordained November 4, 1916; at Walnut Grove Baptist Church in Walnut Grove Township. He organized Hinshaw Street Baptist Church, March 18, 1927, with 40 members and was called to serve as pastor. He has been pastor of eight other Baptist churches in surrounding counties. Dr. W. L. Pitts, pastor of Hihshaw Street Baptist Church, said this was a great honor to him and the members of Hinshaw to have the man who organized the church as pastor emeritus. The Rev. and Mrs. Pruitt reside at 703 "K" Street, North Wilkesboro.
