Sunday Morning Worship March 26, 2017 Reflection God comes to us when we are feeling spent, small, weak, weary -- and instead of saying to us, do, work, try; he says, "Behold, your God." Kevin De Young
Preparation for Worship Call To Worship **In recognition of the reason and reverence of worship, please remember to turn off your cell phones. Thank you. Parents and Nursing Moms: If needed, there is a cry room in the back of the sanctuary that you may use and still be able to hear the service. The room is accessed via the foyer behind the nursery check-in desk. If you need help, please ask the nursery coordinator. We invite everyone to fill out the registry pad located on the end of the aisle. If you are a visitor, we hope that you have been encouraged by the time that you have spent worshipping with us today. Prayer requests marked "private" will only be seen by the church leadership. In Feast or Fallow 2010 Drink Your Tea Music (ASCAP), admin. by Simpleville Music, Inc. Words & Music: Sandra Muckraker Song of ascents In Feast Or Fallow When the fields are dry, and the winter is long Blessed are the meek, the hungry, the poor When my soul is downcast, and my voice has no song For mercy, for comfort, I wait on the Lord. In the harvest feast or the fallow ground, My certain hope is in Jesus found My lot, my cup, my portion sure Whatever comes, we shall endure. Whatever comes, we shall endure. On a cross of wood, His blood was outpoured He rose from the ground, like a bird to the sky Bringing peace to our violence, and crushing death's door Our Maker incarnate, our God who provides. (Chorus) When the earth beneath me crumbles and quakes Not a sparrow falls, nor a hair from my head Without His hand to guide me, my shield and my strength In joy or in sorrow, in life or in death. (Chorus) Welcoming One Another Announcements Silent Preparation Psalm 27:1-4 Leader: The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? People: When evildoers assail me to eat up my flesh, my adversaries and foes, it is they who stumble and fall. Leader: Though an army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, yet I will be confident. People: One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple. Man of Sorrows! What a Name Trinity Hymnal #246
Adoring God In Song Exalted Over All From heaven's throne You came to us And set your heart upon the cross. We'll never know the sacrifice You've made. For all our sin and all our shame, You took the nails, You took our place No one else could do what You have done. One name is higher, One name is stronger Than any grave, than any throne; Confession of sin & Assurance Prayer of Confession Assurance of pardoning grace Psalm 103:8-12 The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. He will not always chide, nor will he keep his anger forever. He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us. From the grave where death would die, You rose again and brought us life. You're reigning now, the Savior of the world. You're reigning now, the Savior of the world. One name is higher, One name is stronger Than any grave, than any throne; The only Savior, Jesus Messiah, To You alone our praise belongs; Deacon's Prayer Al Cadwell Worship Through Giving The Giving of Our Tithes & Offerings Please sign and pass the registers. Offertory Song of preparation Mercy 2013 Jonas Myrin, Matt Redman Mercy I will kneel in the dust at the foot of the cross where mercy paid for me. Where wrath I deserve it is gone it has passed Your blood has hidden me. Mercy, mercy as endless as the sea. I'll sing you hallelujah for all eternity. We will lift up the cup and the bread we will break Remembering your love. We were fallen from grace but you took on our shame And nailed it to a cross. Chorus (twice) May I never lose the wonder of your mercy. May I sing your hallelujah, hallelujah amen. (4 times) I will kneel in the dust at the foot of the cross where mercy paid for me. Help My Unbelief I know the Lord is nigh, And would but cannot pray, For Satan meets me when I try, And frights my soul away, And frights my soul away. I would but can t repent, Though I endeavor oft; This stony heart can ne er relent Till Jesus makes it soft, Till Jesus makes it soft. Help my unbelief. Help my unbelief. Help my unbelief. My help must come from Thee. I would but cannot love, Though wooed by love divine; No arguments have pow r to move A soul as base as mine. A soul so base as mine. Children ages 3 to 5 years old are invited to go to Children's Church during the Song of Preparation. Sermon Response & Blessing No Way Out? 1 Samuel 29 Dan Seale, Senior Pastor Guide Me, O Thou Great Jehovah Guide me, O Thou great Jehovah, Pilgrim through this barren land. I am weak, but Thou art mighty; Hold me with Thy powerful hand. Bread of heaven, Feed me now and evermore; Bread of heaven, Feed me now and evermore. Open now the crystal fountain, Whence the healing waters flow; Let the fire and cloudy pillar Lead me all my journey through. Strong Deliverer, Be Thou still my Strength and Shield. Strong Deliverer, Be Thou still my Strength and Shield. When I tread the verge of Jordan, Bid my anxious fears subside; Death of deaths, and hell s destruction, Land me safe on Canaan s side. Songs of praises, I will ever give to Thee; Songs of praises, I will ever give to Thee. Hear Sunday's Sermon online @ www.redeemerpca.net. Benediction
