Introduction to the Application The Big Sis Program is a new area of ministry within D.O.L.L.S. Headquarters that will be working directly with the 5 Main on each campus. Big Sisters will report to the Chapter Director, Andrea Taylor. They will seek to build on our ministry s continued success by mentoring and coaching the 5 Main within their assigned chapter. Likewise, they will work to improve on the communication between Headquarters and officers. Big Sisters will develop close relationships with their assigned 5 Main, and seek to support and encourage them during their year of leadership. Big Sisters should have a heart for ministry and mentorship. They should have a strong desire to utilize their past experience to pour into the hearts of young Christian leaders. It is vital that all applicants realize that by applying to become a Big Sis, they are in essence volunteering a few hours every month with a bona fide 501 c(3) non-profit ministry. We consider our work a very serious matter and are seeking only the most committed and most responsible of college aged girls to join our efforts. To gain a better understanding of the responsibilities specific to Big Sisters see the Big Sis Job Description document, available through our website. It is also required that all applicants read the Big Sis Constitution, which is also available on the website. This constitution will help you gain an understanding of our ministry s commitment to ensuring that every leader is living a life of integrity and righteousness. Please review these resources to verify that you are a strong candidate for the position. Please know that it is not our desire to overburden you with lengthy applications and tedious questions. However, this in-depth application will help our election panels make the wisest decisions possible involving leadership at Headquarters. The Big Sis position is a leadership position at the Headquarters level, working with our chapters and 5 Main. It is entirely appropriate for organizations to go to extreme lengths to ensure the leaders are highly qualified for such a position. This is also done in order to help you personally reflect upon the qualifications required for this position and evaluate whether you are prepared to take on such a commitment. In order to be considered for a position you will need to thoroughly complete this application and schedule an interview with Headquarters, as well as complete a D.O.L.L.S. Knowledge Exam (if necessary). Time slots for interviews will be available on a firstcome-first-serve basis. We ask that you prayerfully consider your involvement as a Big Sis. The Selection Process Please do not attempt to wait until the last minute to complete this application. It is very lengthy and requires a lot of deep thought and heavy writing. This application can easily take you several hours to complete. We recommend that you take it in baby-steps, one section at a time over a period of several days. Following your interview, the Headquarters election committee will review all the applications and consider the things discussed during your interview. Their decision will be prayerfully made and based on what the committee truly believes God is calling them to decide in the best interest of the organization. While many young women may apply for these roles, only a handful will be selected. DOLLS wants to remind all applicants that God already knows whom He is going to entrust His chapters. If you are not offered a position with HQ, we pray that you will realize it is because God has something else planned for you instead. Completing the Application If you truly believe God is calling you to pursue this opportunity, we invite you to open this application packet and begin filling in your answers. If you would like more information on the program, please contact our Chapter Director, Andrea Taylor, at AndreaTaylor@DOLLSHeadquarters.com. Once you have completed your application, email it to Andrea Taylor. Someone will then be in contact with you for the next steps.
