We are celebrating the Month of Ramadan that comes every year with all the blessings and Barakat. May Allah accept your prayers and fasting. In this issue, we covered several community events and activities such as the end of year ceremony and Quran competition. Also, Masjid Alnoor organized the first Summer Camp and it was a success elhamdollah. Please feel free to share your feedback and contributions. We would love to hear from you. 5 Lorem Ipsum Dolor Al Madinah st #5, July Feb [Issue] 12012, 2012 Issue #7, :: [Date] Quran Competition and End of Year Ceremony 2012 Allah has blessed us with another successful school year. In recognition of the hard work and dedication of the students, staff and volunteers, a program was held at the end of the school year to show appreciation to everyone for their efforts. All staff members and volunteers received certificates of appreciation. Gifts were also given to the staff and volunteers. Students were recognized and received awards and gifts for outstanding classroom performance, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place winners in the Quran competition were awarded trophies and gifts also. Two classes performed children songa to the enjoyment of all. An Islamic Trivia competition was held and winners received gifts as well. Although students, staff and volunteers were recognized, parents are to be commended for the support they have shown throughout the year. If the parents did not pay the tuition and bring their children to and from the school, and help the children with their homework, we could not have had the successful year that we did. May Allah continue to reward everyone for their efforts and devotion in helping our Islamic school to be a success. 2

He is a member of Masjid Taqwa and served as the Imam there for several years. Brother Amin strives to please Allah in his business and personal life. His business goal is: Safety and Total customer Satisfaction. He says, We know you can t please everyone but we definitely try. Brother Amin is a Hajji having made hajj in 1994 and 1996. The experience of making Hajj is one I ll always cherish. It is a blessing that Allah has allowed me to fulfill this Pillar of our Islamic faith. 5 Lorem Ipsum Dolor Issue #5, Feb [Issue] 1 st, 2012 :: [Date] Al Madinah Issue #7, July 2012 Successful Health Awareness Event & Community Potluck Masjid AlNoor invited all members of the Muslim community to a new health awareness event hosting Dr. Anas Kayal, MD Internist, Nephrologist. That was on June 9 th, 2012. He spoke about diabetes, which is an interesting topic that everyone wanted to know more about. Flyers and pamphlets were available for audience. Along with this event, there was a community potluck in which all attendees shared a dish and spent good time together. Please join us in the coming events inshallah to meet with the community members and ask your health related questions. Masjid AlNoor Committee AlNoor Summer Camp 2012 ALNoor Sunday School organized a summer camp for its students during the month of July. The main purpose of the camp was to provide a safe environment for our kids during the summer time and filled it with useful activities. Also, it is important for our kids to meet with new Muslim friends. The duration of the camp was 3 weeks. The camp theme for this year was the 5 pillars of Islam. The theme was communicated through organizing interesting activities and crafts. Also, the camp organized field trips for the campers to enjoy their time together. Special thanks to all organizers, teachers and volunteers for their time and efforts. May Allah accept their good deeds and reward them InshAllah.
