Drive to Amman, Jordan s capital, also known as the White City because of the white sandstone used to build houses. Stop briefly for coffee at a café overlooking the Temple of Hercules and the Citadel. Continue to the Roman Theater of Amman and the Citadel. Lunch en route. Continue to the mosaic-rich holy city of Madaba to visit St. George Cathedral, where a 6th-century mosaic floor contains petra the earliest surviving map of the Holy Land. MONDAY, MAY 28 - WADI RUM (B,L,D) After an early breakfast, we will tour the city of Petra. Travel on horseback to the siq (canyon) and then on foot to Petra. Known as the Red Rock City, Petra was the capital of the Nabateans from the 3rd-century BCE to the 2nd-century CE. Petra s most elegant monument, the Treasury, comes dramatically into view as you emerge from the siq. Beyond the Treasury, an entire city is carved into the canyon walls. Other outstanding structures include the Monastery and Urn Tomb. Wander through the field of tombs and obelisks to the Alter. From this point, you can view the whole of the rock city. The most adventurous will be invited to hike up to the High Place for spectacular views of the ancient city and surroundings. Lunch en route. Continue to Wadi Rum for a typical Bedouin dinner and overnight. (Do not miss one of the most spectacular sunsets you will ever see!) Return to your hotel for a free afternoon dinner and overnight. THURSDAY, MAY 31 - JERUSALEM (B) Depart Eilat and visit the Timna Valley and King Solomon s Pillars. Continue to Kibbutz Yahel, the first Reform Kibbutz in Israel. Drive on to Jerusalem for overnight. FRIDAY, JUNE 1 - JERUSALEM (B,D) Visit the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial. As the Jewish people s living memorial to the Holocaust, Yad Vashem safeguards the memory of the past and imparts its meaning for future generations. For over half a century, Yad Vashem has been committed to four pillars of remembrance: Commemoration, Documentation, Research, and Education. Join Rabbi Li-Paz for a brief memorial service for the Holocaust victims and then tour the powerful museum. Continue to Machane Yehuda Market, a landmark institution and vital symbol of Israeli resilience. We ll have an in-depth tour, with emphasis on the history of the market, the types of foods sold and their origins and uses. Then, welcome Shabbat with the joyous crowds at the Western Wall, along with hundreds of dancing and singing yeshiva students. This is a moving experience, second to none. SUNDAY, JUNE 3 - JERUSALEM (B) - Jewish Jerusalem - Drive to Mt. of Olives for a panoramic view of the most beautiful city in the world. Continue to the City of David and see the excavations that reveal the earliest days of Jerusalem. If weather permits, walk through Hezekiah s Tunnel. Walk the Pilgrims Tunnel direct to the Old City. Visit the Davidson Center and see a multi-media presentation about Jerusalem in the days of the Second Temple. Walk to the Western Wall, the only visible remains of the Second Temple. Walk through the Western Wall Tunnel which links to a water tunnel cut through the rock to the north, apparently dug in the Hasmonean period (163 to 37 BCE). Enter the Jewish Quarter of the Old City through Zion Gate, used by the Israel Defense Forces in 1967 to capture the Old City. The stones surrounding the gate are still pockmarked by weapons fire. Walk through the Kardo, a Roman street converted to a pedestrian mall. Spend some time shopping for tallits and other Judaica gifts for loved ones. Continue walking in the narrow streets and markets of the Jewish Quarter. SATURDAY, JUNE 2 - JERUSALEM (B) Free Shabbat in Jerusalem. Return to your hotel for overnight. MONDAY, JUNE 4 - JERUSALEM (B,D) - Jerusalem Art - Visit the Hadassah Hospital to see the famous Chagall Windows. Continue to the Israel Museum, where we ll learn about Israeli art with one of their senior curators. Also at the Israel Museum, visit the Shrine of the Book to see the Dead Sea Scrolls and see the scale model of Jerusalem in the days of Second Temple. Continue to the Museum for Islamic Art, with its fascinating collection of antique clocks and watches. Then to one of the most unique museums in Jerusalem, Friends of Zion Museum, showing how the gentiles helped the Zionist movement and the Jews. We ll end our day at the Tower of David, including the Jerusalem Museum and the model of Solomon s Temple. In the evening, we will have a farewell dinner at the renovated Ana Ticho House. Return to your hotel for overnight. TUESDAY, JUNE 5 - JERUSALEM (B) - Zionist Heritage - Drive to Mt. Herzl for a visit to the Military Cemetery and the tombs of Theodor Herzel, Golda Meir and Itzhak Rabin. Visit the Theodor Herzl Museum dedicated to the life of the visionary of the Zionist movement and the early days of the Zionist movement. Continue to the Menachem Begin Heritage Center, an dead sea scrolls exhibition at shrine of the book experiential, multimedia exhibit telling the story of one of the most important chapters in the history of the State of Israel through the life of Menachem Begin. The museum takes visitors on a time-journey that includes historical reconstructions and reenactments, rare documentary videos, interactive touch-screen exhibits, striking presentations and a surround sound narration. Visitors are invited to experience firsthand and to take part in the different chapters of Begin s life his childhood in Poland, his years as the commander of the Irgun, the leader of the Opposition and finally, as Prime Minister of the State of Israel. We ll end this powerful day at the Museum of Underground Prisoners, commemorating the activity of the Jewish underground (Haganah, Irgun and Lehi) during the period leading up to the establishment of the State of Israel. Then, enjoy some free time for shopping before returning to the hotel to pack and relax. You will be transferred to Ben Gurion airport around 9:00pm. TERMS AND CONDITIONS PRICE: The price of the tour is: $5,295 per person in a double room or $6,990 in a single room, based on a group size of 30 passengers. The price is guaranteed but if due to unforeseen circumstances beyond Ya lla Tours USA Inc. s control, our suppliers increase the price, Ya lla USA Inc. will adjust the price accordingly. Price of the airfare portion of the tour is subject to change until the air ticket has been issued. Should a single traveler wish to share a room with another traveler, and Ya lla Tours USA Inc. is unable to match him/her with a roommate, the single room supplement will apply. Should the number of participants, 90 days prior to departure, be lower than the published minimum number of participants to operate the tour, the price will be adjusted accordingly or the tour will be canceled. DEPOSIT AND PAYMENT POLICY: A deposit of $900 per person is required upon registration. Final payment is due February 23, 2018, 90 days prior to departure. CANCELLATIONS & REFUND: For cancellation of 90 to 45 days prior to departure, a cancellation fee of 50% of the tour cost will apply. For cancellation of 44 to 30 days prior to departure, a cancellation fee of 75% of the tour cost will apply. For cancellation of 29 or fewer days prior to departure, a cancellation fee of 100% of the tour cost will apply. No refund will be paid for unused services such as: transfers, sight-seeing, meals, hotel accommodations, entrance fees, and others that are listed in the tour program. The travel insurance is NON-REFUNDABLE. LAND ARRANGEMENTS: The Tour Operator reserves the right to change the itinerary due to unforeseen circumstances. In all cases, Ya lla Tours USA Inc. will do its best to maintain the content of the tour. The Tour operator reserves the right to change the hotels listed on the tour for others of similar quality. RESPONSIBILITY AND LIABILITY: Whereas Ya lla Tours USA Inc. and the participating airlines and tour operators operate the land tours offered under this program only as agents of the aircraft, railroads, car rental contractors, steamship lines, hotels, bus operators, sight-seeing contractors and others who provide the actual land arrangements, we are not liable for any act, omission, delay, injury, loss or damage or nonperformance occurring in connection with these tours. The Passenger contract in use by the airline concerned, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the airline and the purchaser of these tours and/or passenger. Ya lla Tours USA Inc. reserves the right to bring legal action to collect damages in the event that purchaser fails to pay any fees due and owing for services, including cancellation fees as set out in the section entitled Cancellations & Refunds. The parties agree that should legal action be commenced, the prevailing party will be entitled to his/her or its reasonable attorney fees and court costs in addition to the actual damages sustained and proven. Venue for any dispute is Multnomah County Circuit Court, Oregon. This contract shall be governed by the laws of the State of Oregon. PASSENGER RESPONSIBILITY: Passenger has read the above terms and conditions and agrees to each of them. Passenger hereby warrants that he/she fully understand each of them. Specifically passenger understands that should he/she cancel their trip for any reason, passenger will be charged the cancellation fee set out in the Cancellations & Refunds section. ENTIRE AGREEMENT SEVERABILITY: This is the entire agreement of the parties and it may be amended only by written agreement signed by both Ya lla Tours USA Inc. and the client. If any part of this agreement is held unenforceable by a court of law, the rest of this agreement will nevertheless remain in force and effect. TRAVEL INSURANCE: Each tour participant is responsible for paying any applicable fees for cancellation, medical treatment, medical evacuation, and repatriation of remains. Ya lla Tours USA highly recommends the purchase of travel insurance. Travel insurance is not included in your tour price.
