Prayer Reminders Birthdays: 13: JeriLynn Maulden; 15: Jim Jacobs, Martin Wollin, 16: John Robson, 17: Miles Jordan Missions: America for Christ Offering 2011 Leadership Training that is Making an Impact Nehemiah Leadership Network (NLN) is a unique and highly effective program that works with the best and most promising pastors in American Baptist life to equip them to be effective leaders of change. NLN is a three-year, intensive journey for participating pastors, built on three elements. Each pastor meets throughout the year with three to five NLN pastors, under the guidance of a mentor/coach, to work on learning objectives. In addition, all NLN pastors participate in a four-day annual learning conference, which features prominent speakers on various themes related to leading change (family systems, emotional intelligence, missional church, evangelism for a new era, pastor s devotional life and conflict resolution). Together, these elements provide a powerful growth experience for NLN pastors. NLN has graduated six classes of pastors since 2004, and more than 30 pastors are currently enrolled in the program. NLN was created in 2001 as a cooperative effort among American Baptist Home Mission Societies, 11 American Baptist Churches USA regions, Ministers and Missionaries Benefit Board, Office of the General Secretary, congregations and pastors. This exciting model for partnership embodies Baptist associational principles. We are impelled by this year s theme to touch people with whom we come in contact every day with the transformational love of Jesus Christ. We ask you to join us in giving generously to the America for Christ Offering and in helping us reach our goal of $1200 in support of touching and transforming lives for the cause of Christ. We have received $463 to date for this special offering. No Lying & Beyond 1 And God spoke all these words: 16 You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.. Exodus 20:1, 16, NIV No Lying (What motivates us to lie?) How Then Shall We Live?!
! I love to clothe this false self and I wind experiences around myself with pleasures and glory like bandages in order to make myself visible to myself and to the world, as If I were an invisible body that could only become visible when something visible covered its surface.
