Recommendations o We recommend that the name Music and Christian Arts Ministry (MCAM) be adopted at every level of the Connectional Church in place of Music Department. o We encourage every Bishop to appoint an Episcopal District Director of MCAM, and that the same be done on the Annual Conference and Presiding Elder District levels, and that financial support be given for MCAM leadership.
Future Goals o o We anticipate the opportunity to provide greater leadership to Music and the Arts on a Connectional level. More specifically, we look forward to becoming the primary consulting resource to ALL MUSIC and CHRISTIAN ARTS on a Connectional level (e.g. General Conference, General Board and Convocations etc.)
Future Goals o Furthermore, we would like to partner with the various departments of the church for other connectional meetings to provide greater resources for the enhancement and enrichment of music and arts at Connectional meetings.
Future Goals o We look forward to creating opportunities for diverse and contemporary artistic expressions that encourage the participation of youth and young adults on a Connectional level.
Future Goals o We look forward to producing the second edition of the AME Church Service Music CD, and anticipate creating a forum for the promotion of AME recording artists. o We have partnered with the International Women s Missionary Society, and look forward to collaborating with other departments of the church and with Episcopal Districts to provide training and instruction.
