A MESSAGE FROM PASTOR PRIGGE Whether he is a sinner or not, I don t know. One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see! -John 9:25 Fellow Victorious, The guy quoted above had probably never met Jesus before. Jesus healed him and people freaked out. They couldn t believe that a man who had been blind from birth could suddenly see. A bunch of Pharisees questioned him about how it happened because they were trying to discredit and destroy Jesus. In response to their many questions, the healed man basically says, all I know is what I know. He was blind, and now he could see. Are you freaked out about witnessing? Don t know what to say? Don t know how to answer everyone s questions? No worries. This guy didn t either but that didn t stop him. Just tell what you know. What does Jesus do for you? How does faith in Christ make your life better? Tell what you know, that s all. Here s my witness. I m a sinner. I sin every day. I m so thankful God forgives me so I can forgive myself. I have a deep peace because I know that I will live after death because Jesus rose from the dead. I know God is in control especially when life feels out of control. You don t have to believe me, you don t have to agree, you don t have to like it, but that s what I know. That s my witness. Church Grounds Cleanup New Tuesday Night grounds work opportunity. Doug and others typically do yard work and other activities Tuesday nights around 4:00-5:00 PM. All are invited to come when available and help with some of the work and tasks. Worship Assistants Please consider helping out as a worship assistant. We are currently looking for more help in all areas. It is important to remember that these positions are a vital role to our worship here at Victory Lutheran. We appreciate your assistance! Church Information Flowers for the Altar The Flowers for the Altar sign-up sheet on the kiosk by the office. If there is a special occasion or event or you d just like to beautify the sanctuary, please sign up and let Kay Peters know your arrangement preference (quantity, color, type, price). Tote Bags/Bulletins Tote bags for the younger children are available on the rack in back. Please feel free to use one during the worship service and then return it when done. Children s bulletins are available on the round table by the church entrance. They are directed at ages 3-6. Although children of all ages will enjoy them. Victory Prayer Chain Victory has an email Prayer Chain which will lift your specific requests up to God for you. Those who receive the email will prayerfully support you in your need with His comfort, love and strength. If you let Pastor or the church office know, your prayer request will be forwarded. Pastor opened with prayer Victory Lutheran Church Congregational Meeting Minutes February 19 th, 2017 Ethan highlighted our open Board of Directors positions, specifically our Fellowship role and illustrated the particular roles associated with this in order to get members considering serving. Tim gave an overview of what members pledged to give in 2017 and based on our expenses brought to light a Faith gap of just over 100k. Vernone presented financials comparing 2015 to 2016 and announced that our total mortgage balance is now below 400k.
