A MESSAGE FROM PASTOR PRIGGE Then Jesus said to Simon, "Don't be afraid; from now on you will catch men." -Luke 5:10 NIV Simon was a fisherman, so Jesus used language Simon would relate to. Of course, Jesus isn t talking about fish, He s talking about bringing others into the kingdom of God. Most of us are well aware of the fact that Jesus called twelve disciples to follow and learn from Him. It seems strange that Jesus chose to involve humans in His mission. You and I are among those who have been called to carry on the work of Jesus until He returns. Yes, He could do it better Himself, but it s now our privilege to share the Good News of the forgiveness He earned on the cross. There are people who do not know. They don t know that God is love. They don t know that their guilt has been removed. They don t know that there s a reason and purpose for their existence, and they don t know that an eternity of peace and joy is theirs through faith in Jesus Christ. In Acts 1:8, Jesus simply says to His followers, you will be my witnesses. Yup, we will. You don t need to wait till Opener. Let s catch some for the kingdom of God today! In Christ s love, Brendan Prigge Pastor Office: 952-934-0956 revbprigge@victorylcms.org www.victorylcms.org Page 2
