You do it for Me I I wanted to write You a love song, and tell you how much I love You I want to give you ten percent, to show you that I trust You I want to raise my hands and sing, to show You that I honor You I want to speak to You on my knees, and bow down before You But You just said; When I m hungry, give Me food. When I m thirsty, give Me drink When I m a stranger, take Me in When I m naked, give Me cloths When I m sick or I m prison, come and visit Me When you do it for one of the least of these, you do it for Me. Lord, that seems too simple, let me pray a little bit more Let me go invite my friends, to come and go to church Let me put a fish on my car, wear a cross for all to see Let me get down on my knees, raise my hands and sing Bridge (Hosea 6:6) But do not forget to do good and to share, with others With such sacrifices God He s well pleased.
It s Time to Lend a Hand She s digging in the garbage, trying to find food for her little brother Who s sleeping in the dirt. They sell their little girl, to put food on the table Can you imagine how it hurts? Tears mixed with dirt, is their morning meal They can t mask hunger with a pill They pray to take their life today, because they feel That no one cares for them anyway I could ask what breaks Your heart, but its right in front of me So I think it s time to leave this comfort zone, and let em know they re not alone It s time to lend a hand, and do everything thing I can That is to feed the hungry, and offer Your Son Who saves I said a prayer for them today, to be warm and filled But gave nothing that was needed, I just prayed and walked away Excuses won t feed the hungry, or heal a hurting heart Only sharing what You ve given me, and to minister to the lost. I heard that she got saved today, because I chose to give and pray. Now she s sharing Jesus with others, starting with her little brother. II She could ask what breaks Your heart, but its right in front of her So she has left her comfort zone, and let em know they re not alone I know she lends a hand, and does everything thing she can That is to feed the hungry, and to offer Your Son Who saves Bridge Today She said a prayer for me God s not asking you to feed the world - But can you help at least one?
