Our serving groups will set up, serve, and clean up. We will purchase the coffee and milk (paid for by the family) and make the coffee. Upon request, we will make up a cheese tray (paid for by the family). All bars will be donated by ladies of the group in charge. All caterers have submitted menus including a salad. All luncheons will be served buffet style. We have obtained menus from caterers (George s and Rib River Ballroom - Kurt and Jo s and Memories are other options). We ask you to choose a caterer and a menu and tell pastor which one we are to expect, and give pastor your best estimate as to how many to set for. Either the funeral director or a family member is to call the caterer. If you have any questions, pastor can give you the number of the chairperson in charge and we will be happy to help you. The Constitution and Bylaws of St. Matthew s Ladies Aid St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church Marathon, Wisconsin ARTICLE I: NAME The name of this Society shall be: St. Matthew's Ladies Aid. ARTICLE II: OBJECTIVES The objectives of this society shall be: 1. To give opportunity for Christian fellowship. 2. To visit and comfort those who are ill. 3. To assist financially in the needs of the church. 4. To assist the Mission work of the church. ARTICLE III: MEMBERSHIP Any female communicant member of St. Matthew's is eligible for membership. Members shall at all times be mindful of their Christian calling, be active in the actions of the society, and attend all meetings regularly. Active members are encouraged to contribute monetary gifts. Members may vote and hold office. ARTICLE IV: OFFICERS AND COMMITTEES The officers of this society shall be a President, Vice- President, a Secretary, and a Treasurer. These officers together with the pastor shall constitute the Executive Committee. Other committees may be chosen from time to time as the actions and conditions of the society may deem feasible. 10

ARTICLE V: ELECTIONS All officers are elected to serve for a term of two years. After a term of two years has been served, an outgoing officer is eligible for re-election if she is willing. The election of officers will be held in November. ARTICLE VI: DUTIES OF OFFICERS The President shall preside at all meetings, enforce all rules and regulations of the society, and cooperate/operate with all standing committees for the furtherance of the society's objectives. The Vice-President shall perform the duties of the President in the latter's absence and shall assist the President otherwise. The Secretary shall keep an accurate record of all proceedings at all meetings of the society, shall send out all necessary notices and communications for the society, and shall keep an accurate record of the membership and offerings collected. The Treasurer shall keep an accurate record of all receipts and disbursements, shall pay all bills approved by the society, and shall render an annual report. ARTICLE VII: DISSOLUTION In the event the society's membership is reduced to four or less, it may dissolve. Its assets, if any remain, shall be donated to the needs of the church. ARTICLE VIII: RESIGNATIONS All resignations shall be acted upon by the Aid. Request for a resignation shall be presented to the President either in writing or orally. ARTICLE IX: CHANGES OR AMENDMENTS TO THE CONSTITUTION All changes or amendments shall be incorporated into the Constitution, provided they are endorsed by a 2/3 majority of the voters present. 11

BYLAWS ARTICLE I: MEETINGS The regular meetings of this society shall be held the first Thursday of the month, in the Fellowship Hall of the church. ARTICLE II: OFFERINGS A freewill offering shall be gathered at the regular meetings of the society. ARTICLE III: ORDER OF BUSINESS Meetings are to begin at 1:00 PM. All meetings are to be opened with a devotion by the Pastor. Thereafter, the usual business shall take place. The meeting will be concluded with a simple luncheon. ARTICLE IV: FUNERALS In the event of the death of a member of the Society, an amount of $50.00 shall be given in her memory. OTHER ITEMS: 1. Flowers, or a gift to the amount of $10.00, shall be given to Aid members who are ill and under a doctor's care at home or hospital. Revised, presented, approved September 2, 1999 (Constitution Art.
