Vor und Nachbereitungsmaterial sandkorn-theater-berlin - 1 - Die Verwendung der Texte ist nur für den Schulgebrauch gestattet! Still alive The True Story of The Dinosaurs 1.Teil Dino - Valley Scene 1 People: music. Ladies and Gentlemen in a few minutes the Happy Holiday Bus will arrive in Dino-Valley. The Dino-Valley will be the highlight of the day with your Happy Holiday Bus. Here we are. We will visit all the famous points of interest. You have 3 hours. -What only 3 hours? -Three hours! That s too much for this little village! Dino-Valley is a small town. So we walk a bit. And where are the monsters. We don t have monsters here. First we will have a look at the bridge and the waterfall. Then we will visit the Dinosaur Collection in the Valley Museum. Ah, the Dinosaurs are living in the Monster Museum. No, my dear child, all the Dinosaurs are dead. They lived millions and millions years ago. The first bones were found 300 years ago. The people had never seen bones that large before. So they thought they must belong to a dragon. That s why this area is called The Dragon Forest. Dragon Forest, that sounds like a Dinosaur Camp. Don t forget to buy a souvenir from the Museum shop. After that you can stop by at the Restaurant and relax with coffee, cake and I don t need to relax, I want to see a big living Dinosaur, now! Last of all we shall visit the place where they make the world famous Dino-Valley- Watches. Don t forget to buy one. I didn t come for a watch, I want a big Godzilla monster to show my friends at home. We will meet up again at the Happy Holiday Bus. Please be on time! I m not going home without my monster! And thank you for travelling with the Happy Holiday Bus.

Scene 2-2 - Bye-bye then. We have tourist buses every day. This is my little home town. I moved away when I was 15 years old. This is my parents house. They have the bakery shop. My best friends live In the houses near by. We hang out together every afternoon; skating, mountain biking, or fishing. That was our way to school, the staircase, 47 steps, between the Restaurant and the Mayor's house. On hot days we swam in the little River, or just stood on the bridge, dropping stones into the waterfall. The bridge is more than 300 years old. The watch factory is only 120 years old. And the watches are really famous, because they are handmade and very precise. People from all over the world want to have a watch from this factory. Here we have the important Dinosaur Museum. All the bones were found in this area. And many people come to see the Collection. So that is to say that everyone s life in the town is connected with the dinosaurs. Even the children in the school are interested in learning more about the dinosaurs. Let's have a look. Scene 3 The Teacher: Today I want to speak about the relationship between the dinosaurs, this piece of chalk and my umbrella. Do you think there is no relationship? You are right, there is none. But all the three things can help us to understand the history of our earth, and the life of the dinosaurs. This chalk was created 100 million years ago. The dinosaurs are much older, 300 million years. That's difficult to imagine, isn't it! But just imagine, we want make a film. We have a camera, and we have 1 hour to show every important thing about life on earth. Now we need the umbrella. Here we have 15 minutes, here 30, 45, 60 minutes. In the first 15 minutes the earth is just a fireball. Then it starts to cool down. And we have water. After 40 minutes the first life starts in the oceans. At 53 minutes the first living creatures come onto the land. After that - the time of the dinosaurs begins. But we have only 3 minutes time to take a snapshot of all the different dinosaurs around the world. Then we have 4 minutes for the mammoths, the tigers, the elephants and the birds. And last of all, the human beings, but we must be very quick with our camera. We don t have a minute. We don t even have a second. We just have a wink of an eye. So welcome back - to our short moment. But there are also some other people interested in the dinosaurs. That s Mr. Smiley. He is a businessman. So he is always travelling with his private helicopter. He wants to speak to the people of the town.

Scene 4-3 - Mr. Smiley: Well, you have the dinosaurs. I have the money. Let us bring them both together. I have big plans for your little town. I can see it before me now The Dinosaur Entertainment Park. Here s the large Wellness - Hotel. Here s the Children s Paradise with Roller coaster, cinemas and swimming pools; here s the Dinosaur Jungle Survival Camp and there s the new highway. And on top of it all the New Dinosaur Museum. I will build this for you. Of course, something has to disappear. But we will all win. Questions? No questions, thank you bye, bye! But there were a lot of questions. What about my lovely little house? What about my job in the factory? Who will win and who will loose? Most of them didn t want a big business in the valley. And someone manipulated the helicopter. So it couldn t start. Mr. Smiley was very angry. Everyone could see Mr. Smiley loosing his smile, because he had to walk. 47 steps down, over the bridge, and he had to wait for a taxi. Mr. Smiley never came back! The police came, checked out everything, couldn t find the saboteur and left town. But someone had seen what happened, and they found the tool in a school bag. The culprit was a boy, 15 years old. Some of the neighbours said it was his fault, that the town had lost the big business deal. They gave him two possibilities. Leave the town for ever and go to a boarding school or to be arrested by the police. So I..., he decided to got to the Boarding school, and left. The people went home very quietly, and discussed the whole thing with their families. Nobody had a good sleep that night. 2. Teil Dino - World The dreamers I don t know what it means, but I m always dreaming that my feet are wet. And when I wake up, they are. And I always have grains of sand in my eyes. So do I, and in my mouth too. Let me see. You stink. You should brush your teeth. You know, I always do, after breakfast. That s a good idea. Let s go and have breakfast. But what shall we eat? Carrots. And if there aren t any carrots? Leafs. And if there aren t any leafs? Flowers. And if there aren t any flowers? Close your eyes and imagine flowers. Open your eyes what do you see? My feet. No flowers!! You are so clever, darling. Oh yes, I know! - 4 -

Do you think the Dinosaurs are still alive? In my mind they are. And sometimes I can hear them, singing the Time-Rap: Ticki -Tack,Ticki - Tock It s seven o clock Ticki - Tack,Ticki -Tock The clock that never stops Ticki -Tack,Ticki -Tock The ticking of that clock Second minute month and year Just a word into your ear The only thing that we can say Is don t forget to play today Dadada - Dididi - Follow me Have a happy time today Have a happy holiday Its party time, time to survive Hey, hey, hey, we re still alive! Reiner Anding
