Church Covenant Having been led, as we believe, by the spirit of God, to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior. and on the profession of our faith, having been baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, we do now, in the presence of God, angels, and this assembly, most solemnly and joyfully enter into covenant with one another, as one body in Christ. We engage, therefore, by the aid of the Holy Spirit, to walk together in Christian love ; to strive for the advancement of this church, in knowledge, holiness, and comfort; to promote its prosperity and spirituality ; to sustain its worship, ordinance, discipline, and doctrines; to contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of the ministry, the expenses of the church, the relief of the poor, and the spread of the gospel through all nations. We also engage to maintain family and secret devotions; to religiously educate our children; to seek the salvation of our kindred and acquaintances; to walk circumspectly in the world; to be just in our dealings, faithful in our engagements, and exemplary in our deportment; to avoid all tattling, backbiting, and excessive anger; and to be zealous in our efforts to advance the kingdom of our Savior. We further engage to watch over one another in brotherly love; to remember each other in prayer; to aid each other in sickness and distress; to cultivate Christian sympathy in feeling and courtesy in speech; to be slow to take offense, but always ready for reconciliation, and mindful of the rules of our Savior to secure it without delay. We moreover engage that when we remove from this place we will, as soon as possible, unite with some other church, where we can carry out the spirit of this covenant and the principles of God's Word. 3Top of FormBottom of Form

ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR TODAY!! November 1, 2015 Trustee Ministry Meeting is Saturday November 7, 2015 at 2p. Next Sunday November 8, 2015, Rev. Larry Sartin, Pastor of Christian Family Faith Center Church will be our guest speaker at 3:30p. Please plan on attending. Monday November 9, 2015, our Annual Church Meeting will be held at 7p. This announcement will continue until November 22, 2015: It is that time of year where we reflect on what we are thankful for and how we can be a blessing to someone else. We are preparing to give Thanksgiving Baskets to those who are in need. The forms are the same as last year and are on the table behind the Ushers. A member must submit a person s name for them to receive a basket. This year a member can submit their name and up to two additional names. Please complete a form for each person, writing multiple names on a single form may cause a person to be missed. All forms must be turned into the Secretary s Office, Sis. Mickey Parker or Dea. Barry Mastin by November 22, 2015. We will have a special offering November 22, 2015 to help cover the cost of the basket. The average cost of the basket is $30. If you have any questions please contact Sis Mickey Parker or Dea. Mastin. Thank you for your help and being a blessing to someone else. The Male Chorus will rehearse Thursday November 5, 2015 at 6p Next Sunday School Lesson #10: No Difference in God s Sight Read Acts 15:1-12 Golden Text: God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; and put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith (Acts 15:8-9). 4

The Lord's Supper ( I Corinthians 11: 23-26) Minister: The Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, Congregation: Take eat; this is My body which is broken for you; this do in remembrance of Me. Minister: In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new covenant in My blood. Congregation: This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me. Minister: For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death till He comes." Congregation: This is the Word of God Minister: Bless be the name of the Lord. 5
